Have you ever played Follow the Leader ? It is a fun
game . One person is the leader . That person is in charge .
He or she leads the way for others to follow .
These kids are playing Follow the Leader .
Parents are leaders .
Good leaders are fair . They treat all people the same .
Good leaders are also caring . They help others .

collecting paper in 1942 .
Leaders make good choices . They do the right thing .

make rules to keep people safe . They make sure people

They can share food with kids who are hungry . They can
also pick up trash to keep their communities clean .

listen to what people have to say . They get along with

Speak Up !
Sometimes people see something wrong . Maybe
someone is hurt or being treated unfairly . Some people
might not stop to help . Leaders stop to help .

This girl is helping her friend feel better .
Leaders want to make things better . They speak up if
they see someone getting bullied . They try to stop people
from hurting each other .
