The GED test is made up of four subject testsReasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Sciencethat you can take in one day or over a series of days. Its referred to as a high school equivalency test because it awards a credential that most colleges and employers recognize as the equivalent of a high school diploma.

In some ways, passing the GED test is a lot easier than finishing high school. After all, the test in its entirety takes about seven hours. It takes yearsand a lot of teststo finish high school.
