Sewing with 10 Squares Is a Piece of Cake! When I first began quilting, I had never worked with precut fabric before. In my experience, making a quilt meant going to the fabric store, picking through hundreds of bolts of fabric, waiting in line to get my yardage cut, going home, and realizing Id completely forgotten something! Not to mention the hours of cutting before I could even start sewing. It was quite a process! But then I heard about these nifty little bundles of precut fabric. They came in a variety of sizes for different quilt patterns and I learned that 10 squares (often found as Layer Cakes) are these fantastic stacks of precut fabric that usually contain every print from a designers collection. They help big, beautiful quilts come together in a snap! Precut 10 squares are the perfect precut for beginners because theyre so versatile and incredibly easy to work with.
