Contents
Preface

Questions that are often too difficult to ask or when asked are left unanswered have been dissected in this book. Questions that often no one has the answer to due to the turmoil of emotions they cause. Emotions, struggles, daily challenges, heartbreaks, relationships; anything relating to life is what this book is about.

Writing to the soul can do the same as what love can do to a broken heart Anum Abdullah.

Every chapter in this book is an exploration. There isnt much to writing; all you do is hold a pen and bleed it out on paper, whether it is pain or happiness. An exploration of what is inside a human heart or brain; the different emotions, confusions and most of all feelings that never come out. Experiences have been written about in such a pure and raw manner that it feels so real to the reader as if they were in the picture too. There are many that have been helped by the power of the words in this book and the way topics that are still seen as taboo are written about in such an honest and innocent manner.

Life isnt always great and pleasantly surprising; there are many betrayals, breakdowns and crushed souls during the journey amongst all the rainbow colours. It is like being on a rollercoaster; at times you are up and others you are down. It is like a washing machine; each wash or challenge twists, turns and spins you but at the end of the cycle, you come out brighter, wiser and cleaner of your stains.

Bleed it all out because writing my friend is therapy.

Acknowledgements

A huge thanks to the Almighty for letting me be here despite it all, to my parents for their contribution to my capabilities to become the individual I am today and to my friends who encouraged me to do this.

Special thanks to all those people, good and bad, that entered and exited my life during the different chapters of my life, without you all this book would not have happened.

Lastly, to the one who broke me, thanks to you I can be whole again.

Introduction

The Never Ending Life is a real story about everyones journey through life. One that is filled with rollercoasters, shocks to the system, pleasant and unpleasant surprises, the happiness of a lifetime and most importantly those silent emotions that no one can ever express due to their surroundings.

There is so much we go through in life, as an individual but there is only so much we acknowledge or let others know, even those close to us. This book discusses and enlightens the reader about the unique ways an experience or incident can be perceived, it is written eloquently in order to engage with the reader in such a way that each word has a strong lasting impact.

Life is your very own storybook, so write as you please, but dont ever rush to finish a chapter. Enjoy each chapter and start the next one with an open mind and a fresh pair of eyes. Look forward to it. Be excited. Be brave.

And live each day like its your last Anum Abdullah

CHAPTER 1: YOU
Miss Independent she got her own thing thats why you love her.

She really was as the name suggests and as Neyos song goes Miss Independent she got her own thing thats why you love her.

She really had her own thing; she did what she wanted without worrying about what people would think. She saw too many lives being destroyed by always worrying about what people would think or what society would say about your actions. Her belief was that it is between her and God and if she feels God wont be angry with her then forget people. Each decision you make as an individual not only affects your entire life but also defines you as a person some decisions show you just how strong you are whereas some teach you how to be strong. But if youve never made a mistake it only means youve never tried anything new. That was her motto.

Being independent doesnt just mean doing everything yourself it means not depending on anyone for anything nor needing anyone. It means being happy alone with only yourself and your company. Miss Independent is a girl who was very shy and reserved as a child and in fact for most of her life an introvert you could call her. Someone who was very homely and her parents were her life she depended on her dad for everything. However, it is only those that we dont expect to let us down that do.

Her life changed the day she decided to open up accept confidence and speak up. This girl travelled thousands of miles away from home to a completely foreign country where they didnt speak a word of English for an adventure to do something she had never done before; from getting on an airplane alone to teaching English to 30 teenagers when she was someone who was very afraid of public speaking and had never ever imagined herself as a teacher. In fact she had crossed off being a teacher as an occupation every time she was in a classroom at school.

Miss Independent after this adventure not only completed her internship teaching English successfully while making lots of new friends as well as lifelong memories, but then went on to another new adventure again alone as Miss Independent. She was in China a country that took her 15 hours to get to and so she wasnt going back home without having climbed the Great Wall of China. Despite her mum asking her not to go to such a big city alone she was determined to climb the Great Wall of China and hence, she headed out all alone to the capital. And you must be wondering what happened next.

She left her hotel the day after she arrived in Beijing to go to the Great Wall, but not a lot of people spoke English and it was very difficult for her to communicate. It was not a place that was easily reachable via public transport and so it had to be done through a tour company. She met this strange behaving man at a travel shop she was told she would have to take the bus to the Great Wall. However, to get to the bus this man took her in a van all by herself and with only him to the bus station. All this was very peculiar she was sure he tried to steal her watch from her but she was wise enough to not take it off. Finally on getting onto the bus was another scary shock no one on the bus spoke English and to top it off, it was filled with other Chinese people and she was the only foreigner. Feeling quite scared and uncomfortable she got on the bus and got to the Great Wall climbed it and achieved her aim of visiting Beijing.

Miss Independent she really was just that. And this is where it all began. Her journey of not only independence but of finding herself and also being herself.

She was ununderstandable then again not everyone is meant to understand

No one in this world is the same and that is what makes everyone unique in their own way. So was she in fact different from them all hence, no one and I repeat no one, was able to understand her. Her ways, her thinking, the things she did, her happiness let alone her sadness.

A selfless, generous, extra-loving, independent, extremely confident and fearless young woman. Thats what she was. They say we all need someone in life but she was different. She didnt she didnt need anyone that didnt need her there are very few people in this world that are confident in their own skin and can enjoy their own company.

Shes the girl thatll go on an exotic beach vacation all by herself just to take a break from her busy life whether it be work or studies. Shell go far and beyond for her friends even when she knows that some of them wouldnt return the favour. Shell find time to volunteer at a kids school in the middle of the final year of her degree along with managing two part time jobs. Shes an all-rounder managing all her relationships whether personal or professional is not an art everyone has been able to master but she did or so she says, she tried.
