Success in any endeavour can be achieved in just six essential steps. With these six steps, anyone can consciously elevate their life beyond their wildest expectations. Alon Ulman knows how unexpected life can be. In a plane above the Mediterranean Sea, Alon suddenly found he couldnt breathe. After landing he was rushed to hospital where his survival from a spontaneous collapsed lung was deemed a medical miracle. A few years later Alon would complete the famously gruelling Ironman. From the moment he crossed the finish line, he realized his lifes purpose: dedicating himself to exploring the DNA of practical success and making it accessible to people everywhere. Everybody wants success and fulfilment, but even people who work hard miss out, and when they do succeed, they often chalk it up to luck. But success isnt a fluke. It has rules that can be learned and harnessed with unbelievable ease, speed and power. In his vivid style, Alon tells his own story of transformation and the lessons he learnt along the way. He shows how you can instill practices to harness genuine passion every day, including journalling prompts, practical models for happiness, ways to exercise your courage, and guidance to create a bespoke action plan.

CONTENTS
INTRODUCTION

Weve been given precious time here. Isnt it worth living our lives properly?

They say that time works wonders. For time to work wonders, it simply has to pass on and on. What determines where we reach in our lives, and what the future will hold for ourselves and for our children, is what we do while time is working wonders.

Its impossible to waste time. It is possible to waste our lives. Its impossible to gain time. It is possible to gain life. Our life! Could it be that life is just one long list of tasks that we have to complete, only for another list to take its place? It cant be, right? It has to be something bigger than that!

I asked myself this question so many times up to the age of 40. But I never had the time to check what the answer actually was. Only we can set ourselves (and our children) free. It took me more than 40 years, until there was a day that changed my life, when I eventually came to understand

And from that point on, I was gripped by an insane desire that got stronger by the moment; and I started to dedicate my life to exploring, mapping out, modelling, and making available to people and organizations, the DNA of practical success, achievement, happiness, performance and what makes the difference between winners and everyone else. I help others to recognize, understand and apply the rules of practical success, and thus find and embody their greatest version of themselves.

How can it be that, under the same set of circumstances, there will be some people who, no matter what, will complain, fall apart or bring about chaos, consciously or unconsciously disrupting themselves, their children and others, and making their situation worse? While with winners, even if you were to throw them in a pit, bind their hands and impose regulations on them, then chuck scorpions in the pit and cover it with a lid, if you came back two years later, youd see that grass was growing, the scorpions were tap dancing, and everyone was in a better condition than they were before.

What makes the difference? Is it personality? Karma? Fate? Luck? And how can we bestow this power upon everyone?

When I was very young, the knowledge that I had was not enough to provide me with the answer to this conundrum. At home, for example, they never taught me about money how to make it or how to manage it. So I went on to study economics, and during all of my years in academia (I have a bachelors degree in economics and a masters degree in business management, both with distinction), there wasnt even one class that dealt with how to make money. Not even one! The knowledge that I gained in my business management studies was fascinating and important some of it was theoretical and parts of it were practical, but none of the lecturers who taught me were themselves business owners. Does that sound logical to you? To me it doesnt.

And, of course, no one ever taught me how to be happy. Today, I know how much I didnt understand back then. In a lecture that I attended with my wife, Ortal, many years after studying in university, I was exposed to new information that I hadnt been aware of until then. For me, it was a complete eye-opener in regard to money. At age 43, while sitting in that crowded auditorium, I broke down in tears. Ortal, who knows I dont often cry, asked me what happened.

It cant be! I answered her. This isnt real! It cant be that I didnt know this until now. And its not even that complicated!

My frustration came from the fact that I all of us perform actions every day which are based on a much more complex understanding than the basic yet important information I received in that lecture. But for some reason, its actually the simple yet necessary questions that we refrain from asking ourselves:

What is happiness?

What is money?

What is financial freedom?

How do we reach it?

What is practical success?

Where are we now in our lives?

Where do we want to get to?

How will we actively get there in reality not in theory?

The truth is just like I told my wife with tears dripping down my face that it is not complicated. But since most of us have never asked the right questions, we also havent heard the answers.

I very quickly started going deeper and investigating, almost obsessively. I started to gobble up books and studies; I enquired into and sought out those who were considered the number one experts in their fields. I packed a suitcase and went to meet the great teachers, the greatest experts in the world, in the subjects of effectiveness, achievement, financial freedom and happiness. I wanted to connect with them, to learn from them one on one.

***

Ultimately, this book is based on knowledge that has been acquired over thousands of years by hundreds of teachers on success, which helped me to break through my own boundaries and become an Ironman and to achieve further goals that at one time I would not have even dared to dream of. I developed a model, a clear, practical and applicable methodology for success in life and in business, called The Winners Code. I established five companies under The Winners Code group, Winners Code and Breaking Boundaries and through them we have led hundreds of organizations and over 250,000 people to achieve their goals and success with a speed and power they had never known before. Success is not a fluke. The companies that I established became within a short time the leaders in their field, and I developed an applicable methodology for practical success.
