A Perfect Tour of Phuket
Day 1-2
Relaxing spa
Beat the jetlag with an overnight stay in the northwest of the island at one of Phukets luxury spas, such as the JW Marriott or Laguna Phuket. Pampering treatments will include a Thai massage, which is based on techniques believed to have been devised by the Buddhas personal physician over 2,000 years ago.
Day 3-4
Take to the beach
Spend the days on Hat Patong, Phukets most raucous beach, where you can watch the banana boats, parasailing and jet-skis in action. If you want some peace, take a boat to Freedom Beach just around the bay. At night catch a Thai boxing match before heading to Patongs notorious clubs and bars.
Day 5-6
Eerie lagoons
Book a kayak tour in Phuket Town to explore Phang Nga Bay, where strange rock formations jut from the sea, and grab a photo in front of James Bond Island. At night, camp out under a star-filled sky.
Day 7
Phuket Town
Stroll the tiny streets of Phuket Town, which was the centre of the 19th-century tin-mining that brought Chinese workers and traders to the island. Many of the old shop-houses and mansions are now museums, cafs or galleries. Later explore the shopping at EXPO Market or Talad Tai Rot.
