FRONTISPIECE. Left: Compsosoma oculata Lingafelter & Wappes. This 1014 mm long species is most similar to C. monnei Martins & Galileo in size, shape, color, and pubescence. It differs in having the elytron with the angled postmedian white fascia extending posterolaterally into a circular eyespot. The species is endemic to Bolivia and known only from Refugio Los Volcanes in Santa Cruz Department. Above: Erythrochiton jucundum (Gounelle). This is a medium-sized (1014 mm), orange and black, diurnal species with distinctive aposematic coloration. It can be locally abundant on Croton blossoms in the humid Chaco of Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia.
ABSTRACT. Nearly 1,900 species of longhorned woodboring beetles (Disteniidae, Vesperidae, and Cerambycidae) are known from Bolivia (with more than 200 additional and yet to be determined, or described as new, species). We have featured 500 of them, representing the breadth of morphological evolution, for this work. For each species, we present dorsal habitus photographs, detailed Bolivia distribution maps, and morphological, biological, taxonomic, and general distributional information. The subfamilies included in this work include Anoplodermatinae, Disteniinae, Parandrinae, Prioninae, Lepturinae, Cerambycinae, and Lamiinae.

DEDICATION
DEDICATION TO TWO FRIENDS
To Fray Andrs Langer, a strong man, determined and forceful in his convictions, whose impressive efforts to understand biodiversity and conservation were undertaken in combination with his religious convictions, often against a resistant population who did not understand and appreciate nature. Through his positive, daily insistence on conservation and the importance of each organismwhether insect, vertebrate, or planthe preached the value of our biodiversity. He let no organism go to waste that lost its life, either naturally or by impact with a car or windshield, by studying it and extracting all information possible. Each sample collected by Brother Andrs is deposited for further study in the collections of the Noel Kempff Museum.
To Paolo Bettella, whose everlasting enthusiasm toward the development of scientific collections and biological research impressed all who knew him, and who, through his passion, developed the entomological, botanical, and vertebrate collections at the Noel Kempff Museum and made them available for short- and long-term study. The first samples of the Noel Kempff Museum were collected by Paolo from trips to very remote locations and under extreme danger from disease and accidents. He left us with a great legacy of courage, spirit, and optimism to continue the development of the scientific collections and understand the role and importance of each specimen present in the scientific collections.
DEDICACIN
