I came home from school one day, and I asked
my mother, What is a scurvy elephant?
She said, I dont know. I dont know
what a scurvy elephant is. Why?
I said, Well, I heard the teacher saying that
Wayne Dyer was a scurvy elephant
in the classroom.
She got right on the phone and talked to
the teacher, and the teacher said, No, I didnt say
that at all. I said Wayne was a disturbing
element in the classroom.
Ive always been that scurvy elephant.

Do you remember the first time you encountered the words of Dr Wayne W Dyer - photo 3

Do you remember the first time you encountered the words of Dr. Wayne W. Dyer? Many of us have fond remembrances of watching one of his PBS specials or seeing him speak onstage at one of the events he so loved doing throughout the years. Perhaps you were browsing the shelves at a bookstore and found yourself drawn to a title, only to discover words that would change the course of the rest of your life. Whichever way we discovered him, so many lives were touched by his charismatic yet grounded way of speaking and writing.

If this is your first encounter with the wisdom of Wayne, however, you may be wondering who this man is and what this book has in store for you! One of Hay Houses most beloved authors, known worldwide as the father of motivation, Wayne was at the forefront of the personal transformation movement for decades. He was endlessly curious about new ideas and new approaches to psychology and spirituality, always excited to plunge deep into a new adventure then come out sharing what he had discovered. He was a unique speaker, writer, and personality whose insights reached millions over the span of his long and productive career.
