How to use this Book

The book is structured in a way that allows you follow the Mass from beginning to end, without having to bookmark, search for, or turn back pages.
A click on a chapter in the Table Of Contents, brings you to that place in the Mass.
With a Kindle eReader you can turn these chapters back and forth, with the control button.
The Preface can be accessed by clicking on the List of Prefaces. At the end of each Preface there is a link to the Sanctus, or you may get to the Sanctus using the control button to turn the chapter.
After the Sanctus, there are four links, one to each Eucharistic Prayer, prompted by the opening words of the prayer, or you may get to the Eucharistic Prayer using the control button.
At the end of each Eucharistic Prayer is the Communion and Concluding Rites.

I ntroductory Rites
The faithful dispose themselves properly to celebrate the Eucharist. Before Mass begins, the people gather in a spirit of recollection, preparing for their participation in the Mass.
All stand during the entrance procession.
Sign of the Cross
After the Entrance Chant, the Priest and the faithful sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross:
Priest : In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Sagart: In ainm an Athar agus an Mhic agus an Spioraid Naoimh.
Response: Amen .
Pobal: Amen
Greeting
The Priest greets the people, with one of the following:
Pr. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Or
Pr. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Priest, or a Deacon, or another minister, may very briefly introduce the faithful to the Mass of the day.

There are three forms of the Penitential Act which may be chosen from as appropriate.
Pr. Brethren (brothers and sisters), let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

A brief pause for silence follows. Then one of the following forms is used:
I confess to almighty God

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD

By hearing the word proclaimed in worship, the faithful again enter into a dialogue with God.
FIRST READING

The reader goes to the ambo and proclaims the First Reading, while all sit and listen. The reader ends:
The word of the Lord.
