In this sequel to the enormously successful Seven Men, #1 New York Times bestselling author Eric Metaxas offers more captivating stories of some of the most inspiring men in history. Join Metaxas as he shares about the lives of seven more men who faced insurmountable struggles and challenges with victorious resolve.

Heroes and role models have always been essential for inspiring our lives and shaping the world. But in the last few decades, the need for men of valor and integrity is more vital than ever.

Metaxas restores a sense of the heroic in the compelling profiles of seven extraordinary men:

  • Martin Luther
  • George Whitefield
  • General William Booth
  • George Washington Carver
  • Sergeant Alvin York
  • Alexander Solzhenitsyn
  • Billy Graham
  • Becoming acquainted with these seven heroes cannot fail to make your life immeasurably richer. Each man demonstrates particular qualities: the courage to surrender themselves to a higher purpose and the willingness to give away something dear to them for the good of others.

With vitality and warmth, Metaxas draws electrifying insights for our daily lives from the inexhaustible richness of history. Inevitably inspiring, this anthology reminds us that certain qualities are worthy of emulationnow more than ever.

    Praise for Seven More Men:

God often uses nobodies from nowhere with nothing to offer but hearts fully surrendered to him and uses them to change the world. Metaxas once again magically and masterfully illustrates Gods guiding hand in the lives of seemingly ordinary men to produce great men who use their gifts and opportunities to bring glory to God and to serve others. This book will deeply inspire you to diligently serve God with all your heart, no matter your lifes current circumstances, knowing that he knows the plans he has for you.

    Kirk Cameron, actor and producer

Great biographers do more than relay the facts of history; they acquaint us with its authors and inspire us to emulate them. In Seven More Men, Eric Metaxas uses seven short biographies and five hundred years as thread and canvas to produce a magnificent tapestry to not only inform your mind but inspire your heart. These unvarnished stories of faithful endurance, unwavering hope, and costly love are a must-read for our generation.

    PRAISE FOR SEVEN MORE MEN

More deeply inspiring stories of extraordinary men who defied the odds and left an eternal impact on everyday life. Heroes anchored with purpose and resolve, worthy of our careful time and attention. A drink of cold water for the thirsty soul.

Eric Metaxas has done it again. In Seven More Men he has given us yet another masterpiece from a master biographer. You will laugh and you will cry as you read this amazing book. Above all, it is a page-turner. I was deeply impacted by Erics first biographical book, Amazing Graceso much so that I can verbatim retell the details of William Wilberforces struggles to single-handedly abolish slavery. This book is a must-read for young and old alike; I am giving it to my grandchildren.

Michael Youssef, pastor and televangelist heard 13,000 times a week in 196 countries

We need heroes more than ever. We all love superhero movies, but nothing is more inspiring than stories of real people who have stood courageously for nobility and virtue. Eric Metaxass Seven More Men will inspire you to be the hero your world needs.

    Greg Laurie, author and pastor

In Seven More Men we are reminded of the courageous faith that has paved the way for this generation. With his newest list of seven heroes, Eric Metaxas engages the reader in a personal journey through our too often forgotten heritage! Another must-read for all who desire to engage our world for Christ.

Allen Jackson, pastor of World Outreach Church, Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Another essential collection of people used by God to change the world whose stories we need to know. Erics ability to uncover little-known details while also situating his subjects into the larger contexts where they belong is on full display here. I hope he keeps these Seven books coming!

    Guide

I n the opening lines of Mark Twains masterpiece The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the books eponymous narrator and protagonistmeaning Huck himself, of coursetells the reader that if they know about him its only because they have read Twains earlier book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Actually, Huck says it better than I can: You dont know about me without you have read a book by the name of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; but that aint no matter. That book was made by Mr. Mark Twain, and he told the truth, mainly.

I think of those famous lines now because this book is a bit like that. Meaning, if you know what came before, youll understand this one better. Of course, any book with the word more in the title presupposes a previous something. In the case of this book, that previous something is my book Seven Men: And the Secret of Their Greatness. This book is a continuation of that book. Or you could say this book is a sequel to that book. But unless you already knew that, youd wonder why more is in the title; and I thought Id just be clear about that right up front. But nothing I say here can properly underscore the importance of the lives in this book. These are absolutely extraordinary lives that in most cases are tragically little known, and I firmly believe that our cultural ignorance of these livesand the lives in my other bookshas contributed greatly to many of the problems facing us today. So merely getting to know them will dramatically help you to be a part of the solution.

Im happy to say that the response to my first book along these lines
