Dear Families,
Just like parents take care of their children and provide for them, God provides for and takes care of his children. He gives us what we need: hope and forgiveness and joy. He comforts our sadness. And, most important, he gives us grace.
Grace is God saying, I know youve messed up, but I still love you anyway. Grace is when you tell God youre sorry and he says, Youre forgiven. One of my favorite Bible verses explains it like this: Let us, then, feel free to come before Gods throne. Here there is grace. And we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it (Hebrews 4:16).
You cant always choose what happens in your day. But you can choose how you think about it and what you do about it. You can choose to worship God as a family. Each entry in Grace for the MomentFamily Devotional includes an adult devotion from Grace for the Moment and a corresponding childrens devotion from Grace for the Moment: 365 Devotions for Kids. Parents and children can read their devotions separately or together and then come together to read the key verse aloud to dig deeper into the days entries. The Grow in Grace sections are thoughts and questions designed to draw you closer to the God of grace as you spend time together.

Do you ever feel unnoticed? New clothes and styles may help for a while. But if you want permanent change, learn to see yourself as God sees you: He has covered me with clothes of salvation and wrapped me with a coat of goodness, like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding, like a bride dressed in jewels (Isaiah 61:10).
Does your self-esteem ever sag? When it does, remember what you are worth. You were bought, not with something that ruins like gold or silver, but with the precious blood of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb (1 Peter 1:1819).
The challenge is to remember that. To meditate on it. To focus on it. To allow his love to change the way you look at you.

You are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, a people for Gods own possession.
1 P ETER 2:9
Do you ever feel invisible? As if nobody even notices you? Maybe some new clothes will get me noticed, you think. And maybe they do. For a little while. But then the latest craze is yesterdays news, and youre back to... invisible. Want a change that lasts? Learn to see yourself as God sees youcovered with the clothes of salvation and wrapped in a coat of goodness (Isaiah 61:10 ICB ).
Do you ever feel like a nobody? When you do, remember what you are really worth. Remember whator rather whoGod gave to save you: You were bought with the precious blood of the death of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb (1 Peter 1:19).
If you ever start to feel invisible or left out, remember this: God chooses you to be his child. That can be hard to remember sometimes. So pray about it. Think about it. Let the way God sees you change the way you see yourself.
GROWING IN GRACE
God chooses to see you as his wonderful creation. How do you choose to see your family and friends? They are each a wonderful creation of God. Your mom. Your dad. Even your sister and brother. Find something you love about each of your family members and friendsthen tell them what it is.
God loves to decorate. God has to decorate. Let him live long enough in a heart, and that heart will begin to change. Portraits of hurt will be replaced by landscapes of grace. Walls of anger will be demolished and shaky foundations restored. God can no more leave a life unchanged than a mother can leave her childs tear untouched.....
This might explain some of the discomfort in your life. Remodeling of the heart is not always pleasant. We dont object when the Carpenter adds a few shelves, but hes been known to gut the entire west wing. He has such high aspirations for you. God envisions a complete restoration. He wont stop until he is finished.... He wants you to be just like Jesus.

Have you ever done any decorating in your room? Maybe you added a poster here. Put out a favorite collection there. Maybe you even got to pick the color for the walls. You added this and changed that until it looked like
