CONTENTS
T he apostle Pauls letter to the Romans, probably written in 57 or 58 AD, has often been called the finest example of its kind in the history of the ancient world. The expression of its kind, of course, refers to epistle in the Greek language, or to letter in the English language. For even though the book of Romans has also been called one of the greatest dissertations on fundamental Christian doctrine ever written, it wasnt conceived and created as an abstract doctrinal statement to be published in a book, a newspaper, or a magazine.
