A ll Things Bright and Beautiful
Chorus: All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. The purple headed mountains, The river running by, The sunset and the morning That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one. The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows where we play, The rushes by the water, To gather every day. He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well. M RS . C ECIL F. A LEXANDER , 1848

C reator and Artist God
T hen God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. G ENESIS 1:26 NIV Picture 4 You could have heard a pin drop in the museum foyer that day.

A famous artist had agreed to paint there, on opening day. What had been a blank canvas was covered now with reds and pinks. His brushstrokes careful, the artist worked the colors together, shading just the right amount in just the right places. Before leaving the museum that day, he declared the painting dedicated to the city, to art lovers young and old. He snatched up a narrow tipped brush and added his signature. An original! We serve an artist God, you know? He looked upon a blank canvas waiting to be filled.

He took up His pallet of blues and greens, zebra stripes, and blinding light. He spoke into existence a world of sights and sounds more perfect than any other artist ever dreamed of painting. He brought to life tall giraffes, screeching monkeys, and furry puppies. He crafted collages of pastels around the sun to start and close each day. But when He had created all of this, the world was not finished. On the sixth day, God made man.

You are the signature of Creator God. Made in His image, you bear His name. To the L ORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it. Yet the L ORD set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nationsas it is today. D EUTERONOMY 10:1415 NIV Picture 5How great is Godbeyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out. J OB 36:26 NIV Nature is the art of God. T HOMAS B ROWNE Picture 6 Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking into the gates of heaven.

J OHN L UBBOCK Picture 7 God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars. M ARTIN L UTHER Picture 8 Some people say a mans best friend is the dog. Mine is nature. W ARD E LLIOT Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy. P SALM 98:8 NIV Picture 9Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

J UDE 1:2425 NASB Heavenly Father, so many times I walk right past the trees. I dont notice the fluffy white clouds or appreciate the rain that nurtures our earth. Your creation is full of beauty and wonder. I thank You for this wonderful world that You have made. May I be more mindful of Your creation today. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. J EREMIAH 31:3 NIV After a day of cloud and wind and rain Sometimes the setting sun breaks out again, And touching all the darksome woods with light, Smiles on the fields until they laugh and sing, Then like a ruby from the horizons ring, Drops down into the night.
