Speak To Your Mountain
This book is dedicated to my wife, Joann, my two sons, Steve Gale Robertson and John Wayne Robertson, and to our newest family member, Arran Gabriel Robertson, and finally to the memory of Brother Earl Anderson, my spiritual mentor who was there for me during the time when the Lord was doing a work in me.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when yea pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. KJV
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. KJV
Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. KJV
Doubting nothing, diakrino (dee-ak-ree-no); Strongs #1252: The word also connotes a conflict with oneself, in the sense of hesitation, having misgivings, doubting, being divided in decision making, or wavering between hope and fear.
With Jesus calling His followers to speak to their mountain, He was preparing them for situations in which they would find it necessary to take direct authority in the spiritual realm to impact things in the natural realm. Always remember that in the Spirit realm there are two major factors to remember, 1) His Authority , 2) The spoken word . Since Jesus is telling us to speak to our mountain, then we already have access to through His words as long as we appropriate His name whenever we speak it out, ending the command In the name of Jesus Christ, or In the name of Jesus the Messiah, or In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
For years I had heard pastors and evangelist preach sermons about having faith in Gods word, however I overlooked something very important. This scripture not only teaches about having non-doubting faith, but also Jesus was telling His followers (and us) to DO something . He told them to speak to their mountain ! Now we all have mountains that are seemingly insurmountable things in which we can not seem to get over, cant seem to be able to go around it, as it just seems to block our path. The mountain is anything that is adverse or contrary to the Word of God for your life. A mountain is anything that is a barrier to you completing Gods Will. A mountain is anything that is slowing down or impeding your progress in the Kingdom of God. Now, I believe that this mountain was not a literal mountain but a metaphor. It could be an illness, a troubled marriage, maybe financial burdens, rebellious children, a bad job situation; He is telling us to speak to that mountain. Not just pray about it, but to verbally speak out, because this is a call for action, it is a call for you to do something, to take dominion over it by speaking Gods Word to that mountain. It does not matter what the mountain is in your life. Many believers spend time praying to God about their mountain. They describe the mountain in full detail to God. They inform God of the exact dimensions of the mountain. They cry and moan to God about what a hindrance or impossibility the mountain is in their life. Some people even use the mountain as an excuse for nonperformance in their Christian life. Many believers will pray for Him to speak to their mountain. God will never do what He has commanded you to do. You pray to God to receive what Jesus has already made available to you Mark 11:24 . It is your responsibility to speak to the mountain in your life. Jesus didnt tell us to pray to God about our mountain. He said for us to speak to the mountain; that is, speak to the mountain in His Name. Jesus didnt tell us to ignore or fall into denial about the mountain or problem. We are not to practice positive thinking and say over and over that it is mind over matter and that with a good attitude we will eventually will it out of their path (Humanism) ; although a positive attitude is a step in the right direction, but that is not what Jesus said to do with your mountain. Jesus said to speak to the mountain and tell it to be moved. Jesus said that any believer can tell a mountain to be removed when He said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20 KJV
Seed faith, God has a way for getting your needs met, your problem solved. That way is rooted in your faiths becoming a seed. When you plant a seed, God changes the nature of that seed so that it becomes a plant; and the power of life surges in that tender young plant to such a great extent that even a mountain of earth cannot stop it from pushing upward! Jesus says our faith in God is like a seed. When we put our faith into action, that is, when we release it to God, it takes on a totally new nature. It takes on the nature of a miracle in the making. So, what is the mountain in your life? Is it loneliness, loss of a job, disease, a broken relationship, trouble in your home, etc? Jesus has shown us the way to see that mountain removed!
First , scriptures tell us that you have a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) . It lives within you, because Gods word tells us that each was given a measure of faith, so the very least amount is the size of a grain of a mustard seed, yet even that small amount can unearth a mountain of rocks and earth. Second , scriptures say that this faith comes by hearing the Word of God ( Romans 1:17) . Third , scriptures tell us that you can apply your faith to see your daily needs met, by doing something as an act of faith. You plant that grain of mustard seed of faith into an action of love (Matthew 17:20) After your seed faith has been planted and growing, then SPEAK to your mountain, speak the Word of God to it, and watch God remove it!
