A Perfect Tour Norway In
Day 1
Bergen
Fly into Bergen and explore the historic Hanseatic Quarter, Bryggen, then take the Flibanen funicular railway to Mount Flyen for gorgeous views. In the evening, sail out of Bergen on the Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage for its northbound journey.
Day 2
Geiranger and lesund
Spend the day on board ship admiring the spectacular landscape, including the Geiranger fjord. In the afternoon make a stop and stroll around the Art Deco town of lesund, repeatedly voted Norways prettiest.
Day 3
Trondheim
Arrive in the medieval city of Trondheim and pay a visit to the Nidaros Cathedral, Scandinavias largest, where Norways patron saint St Olaf the Holy is buried. For an altogether more worldly pursuit, Trondheim also has excellent shopping.
Day 4
Arctic Circle
Cross the Arctic Circle by ship and arrive at Bod, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Take a tour to Saltstraumen, the worlds strongest maelstrom, before continuing on to the Lofoten Islands in the evening, disembarking at Stamsund for a night in a rorbu (fishermans cabin).
