KENNETH POPPE
To the many actively faith-based people who inherently acknowledge the presence of God, especially those precious souls who teach others to do the same. Learn the Lord's science well, for it will defeat the faithless, convict the passive believers, and build your own faith with incredible consistency.
If the art of creativity is adapting what you steal, then my appreciation is extended to all those whose thoughts and comments shaped the bulk of this writing. It is truly your work more than mine.
I also want to thank my wife and children (all six of them), and my immediate and extended family for their solid support, and for forgiving the many ways I limp through life. Also worthy of mention are Blessing Ranch (Livermore, Colorado) and LifeBridge Christian Church (Longmont, Colorado), which have served as my dual church homes for many years. If the world loses your savor, how will it be salted again?
From a professional standpoint, I owe much to the members of the Phylos Network, whose collective wisdom is beyond compare, and the people at the Discovery Institute in Seattle, who are a beacon of scientific truth in an otherwise dim world. I would also like to honor the many school board members, administrators, principals, and teachers (such as in the Grantsburg, Wisconsin, school district) for showing us all that evolution can be critically and legally examined without giving leverage to even the most aggressive Darwinists.
Finally, my thanks again to editor Paul Gossard for his expertise, patience, and insightful guidance, and to editor Terry Glaspey, who opened so many doors. Also I greatly appreciate the supportive staff at Harvest House Publishers, who strive, above all else, to enlarge the Kingdom.

I want to know God's thoughts. The rest are details.
-ALBERT EINSTEIN
Imagine if every devout Darwinist who proclaims, "Life made itself by itself," would conversely say with equal confidence, "However, when it comes to human life, well, that was a miraculous product of God Almighty." With such an admission by an evolutionist, there wouldn't be much of a debate left on origins, would there?
Enter Exposing Darwinism's Weakest Link. This self-explanatory title forthrightly posits that we are not here by some random mistake but by the intentional act of a supernatural intelligence carrying out a divine purpose. Moreover, this book specifically examines the special provisions for humans in our planetary backdrop-as well as family trees, prehistoric hominid evidence, human vestigial structures and behaviors, the origin of speech, good versus evil, values and morals, and the nature of transmitted information. However, regardless of these specifics, the tie that binds the book's overall message is,
We humans are in no wise products of accidental forces. Instead, our special planetary backdrop, plus all special aspects of humanity in this backdrop, makes us unique among life-forms in the way we were designed and placed by the intention of a supernatural Being. However, this Being's every scientific creative act preceding our arrival was also intended just for us-making humans the crowning achievement of an entire plan existing before time itself.
And the overall message doesn't stop there. This book will continually reaffirm that this Being who created us has not left the scene, fallen asleep, or perhaps even died. And it will refer to this monotheistic Being as "God" with a capital "G," though He goes by other names in other cultures Jehovah, Allah, Manitou, and so on-names that indicate man's historically diverse attempts to reach out to the same Being.
To sum it up, I wrote Exposing Darwinism's Weakest Link to be a book about the designed science producing and governing the human condition. And unlike my approach in my previous book, Reclaiming Science from Darwinism, I will be delving into much more than evolutionary problems in macromolecules, cells, and organ systems-I will be examining our spiritual nature itself.
To fully understand Homo sapiens, you need to grasp the spiritual aspect-an aspect that does not apply to any other animal. And you also need to understand that at present humans have to deal with the limitations and urges of the biological container where the spirit temporarily resides. Therefore, my content will examine not just instinct but intuition, not just survival but service, not just chances but choices, not just compost but consequences. If we are to come to grips with the totality of our existence, we must not only understand the biological side measured best by instrumentation, but also the spiritual side best measured by abstraction.
So...are you intrigued by the monkey-to-man concept? Do your senses go on alert when you hear or read about how your body parts, behaviors, and communications are simply natural reflections of your prehistoric past? (When you put on your best dress or tuxedo, are you acting out just another form of the courtship that has been part of the animal world for millions of years?) Are you intrigued by discussions over whether any values transcend humanity itself because they are found in all cultures? (Is stealing always wrong regardless of the situation?) Are you curious about your true spiritual nature, and whether you have been placed here for a reason? (Like those certain events in your life that, deep down inside, you know just couldn't be happenstance?) For answers to these and other questions, read on.
