Best-selling, Oxford-educated investigative author Joseph P. Farrell takes on the Kennedy assassination and the involvement of Lyndon Baines Johnson and the Texas machine that he controlled. Farrell says that a coalescence of interests in the military industrial complex, the CIA, and Lyndon Baines Johnsons powerful and corrupt political machine in Texas led to the events culminating in the assassination of JFK. Without the help of the Dallas police chief and others of the Texas underworld, including Jack Ruby, the Kennedy assassination could not have taken place. Farrell analyzes the data as only he can, and comes to some astonishing conclusions. Chapters include: Oswald, the FBI, and the CIA: Hoovers Concern of a Second Oswald; Oswald and the Anti-Castro Cubans; The Mafia; Hoover, Johnson, and the Mob; The FBI, the Secret Service, Hoover, and Johnson; The CIA and Murder Incorporated; Rubys Bizarre Behavior; The French Connection and Permindex; Big Oil; The Military; Disturbing Datasets, Doppelgangers, Duplicates and Discrepancies; Two Caskets, Two (or was that Three?) Ambulances, One Body: The Case of David S. Lifton; Two (or is that Three?) Faces of Oswald; Too Many (or Was That Too Few?) Bullets; Too Many Films, with Too Many, or Too Few, Frames; The Dead Witnesses: Jack Zangretti, Maurice Brooks Gatlin, John Garret Gary Underhill, Guy F. Bannister, Jr., Mary Pinchot Meyer, Rose Cheramie, Dorothy Mae Killgallen, Congressman Hale Boggs; The Alchemy of the Assassination: Ritual Magic and Murder, Masonic Symbolism, and the Darkest Players in the Death of JFK; LBJ and the Planning of the Texas Trip; LBJ: A Study in Character, Connections, and Cabals; LBJ and the Aftermath: Accessory After the Fact; The Requirements of Coups Datat; more.

Above all, to my best friend through so many years,

You are, and will always be, sorely missed;

I myself think that a sophisticated appraisal of the evidence must
force one to the conclusion that there was a plot involving the
executive branch of the government to remove Kennedy from office
and, by fabricating the evidence, make his death appear a historical
quirk of fate.

been viewed suspiciously as a bloody coup.

A CKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND P RELIMINARIES

T his was not a book that I originally intended to write, at least, not now. I had long been fascinated with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy ever since witnessing the events as a boy of six. From that moment, I read everything I could on the matter, and after I began writing professionally, I resolved to put my own perspective on the matter to paper someday. As many readers of my books know, I tend to plan out several books in advance of what is actually published, and to do so in such a manner that the books all flow in an orderly sequence, from subject to subject, theme to theme. Hence, my JFK book I had not planned to write until approximately two years from now.

But when Adventures Unlimited Press owner and publisher, and personal friend, David Hatcher Childress contacted me this summer to write this book, I agreed. Hence, this book is something of a first for me, for it is a book specifically written at a publishers request. In his original contact with me, the premise of the book was to be an examination of the Texas Connection and the probable role of President Lyndon Johnson in the conspiracy.

However, as there had been books previously written on this subject, I persuaded David to allow me to take a slightly different approach: How could one reconcile LBJs probable role in the affair, either as a planner, or as a soldier for hidden interests, with the wider context of various groups - Cubans, Mafiosi, rogue groups in federal intelligence agencies, Nazis, gun-runners, and so on - that had always been alleged to be involved in the conspiracy? Could this be done?

More importantly, could a putative structure of the conspiracy be uncovered by such a methodology, and could speculative roles within it be assigned to the various groups that other researchers have suggested were involved? Which groups might have been involved with the planning? Which exercised veto power over its operational parameters? Which were simply in the know and willing to allow the plot to proceed to further their own interests? Who had the power to cover it up?

In the course of a few emails back and forth, I persuaded David to allow me to try this approach, which emphasizes not so much the crime itself, as the research of others, and a new attempt at analysis and synthesis. As always, I owe David Childress a deep debt of gratitude for allowing me to opportunity to write about radical ideas.

I owe another deep debt of gratitude to my friend Dr. Scott D. DeHart, who has been consistently my best friend for almost the last twenty years. During the course of writing this book, it was he to whom I turned for criticism, comments, suggestions, and editorial advice. For your consistent confidence and belief in me, and your encouragement, my friend, my deepest thanks!

And finally, last but not least, many and deep thanks to all my readers over the years, who have followed me on a long and winding trail through a forest of details that, at first, seem unrelated, but that reveal themselves upon deep analysis to be bizarrely related, in the deep politics and deep physics of the past and present.

I NTRODUCTION:
P ERSONAL R EMINISCENCES AND A H IGH O VERVIEW

O n November 22, 1963, the United States of America became nothing more than a very rich and powerful version of a very corrupt banana republic with nukes, an insane nation under the control of the power-mad and insane. On that day, America lost its innocence as the rich, powerful, and corrupt murdered our president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. And on that day, I too, at the time a boy of six home sick from school and watching the epic unfold on television, lost my innocence as well when I heard our young president had been murdered in cold blood, in a public square, and watched the drama of that weekend unfold on television, the arrest of Oswald, his subsequent murder on national television by Jack Ruby, the whole doleful state funeral. Those of us alive at the time will always remember it, and remember what our nation was like before it happened. The U.S.A. was innocent prior to that event in a way that is difficult for most people now to grasp.
