CONTENTS
FOREWORD
The 13th Edition of the INTERNATIONAL WHO'S WHO IN POETRY provides biographical information on over 4,000 poets. The biographies include, where available, personal and contact details, information on career and honours, as well as poets' own publications, their contributions to anthologies, periodicals and, increasingly, to other forms such as online publications and poetry events.
For each edition existing entrants are given the opportunity to make necessary amendments and additions to their biographies. Supplementary research is done by the Europa Publications editorial department in order to ensure that the book is as up to date as possible on publication.
In addition to the biographical information, the directory section provides details of poetry awards and prizes, organizations and publishers of poetry. The list of Poets Laureate of the UK and USA has been expanded to include national poets of several other countries of the world. The introduction contains a list of abbreviations and international telephone codes. The names of entrants whose death has been reported over the past year are included in the obituary.
Readers are referred to the book's companion title, the INTERNATIONAL WHO'S WHO OF AUTHORS AND WRITERS 2005, for a comprehensive collection of information on the most prominent people in the international literary world.
The assistance of the individuals and organizations included in this publication in providing up-to-date material is invaluable, and the editors would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation.

ALPHABETIZATION KEY
The list of names is alphabetical, with the entrants listed under surnames. If part of an entrant's name is in parentheses, indicating that this name is not usually used, this will be ignored for the purposes of the alphabetical listing.
All names beginning Mc or Mac are treated as Mac, e.g. McDevitt before MacDonald.
Names with Arabic prefixes are normally listed after the prefix, except when requested otherwise by the entrant.
In the case of surnames beginning with De, Des, Du, van or von the entries are normally found under the prefix.
Names beginning St are listed as if they began Saint, e.g. St Germain before Salamun.
In the case of an entrant whose name is spelt in a variety of ways, a cross reference is provided. An entrant who is known by a pseudonym or best known by another name, is usually listed under this name, or a cross reference is provided.
