FOREWORD
I have been a pediatrician for twenty years and have looked at an estimated 500,000 ears during my medical career. Many times, the eardrums were inflamed or infected-looking. Because of my conventional medical training, residency, and postgraduate medical experience, I often have had to struggle to remember that every one of those ears was attached to a wonderful young child.
