There are so many benefits of cooking your own baby food, and I am honored to guide you along this journey and share all that I have learned with my babies. Homemade baby food made from fresh foods you eat yourself is a far healthier, more nutritious choice than premade baby food.

It gives you the chance to control what your baby eats while avoiding unnecessary sweeteners, food additives, and processing, which all compromise foods nutritional value. Real, quality food does not have a six-month shelf life, but that is not something you will have to worry about when you make the food using fresh, trustworthy ingredients. Plus, believe it or not, this is the most economical way, by far, to feed your children. It is also a great way to instill healthy eating habits in your children for life. With all these benefits, be assured that your efforts to enhance your babys diet and health are very wise ones, indeed. When you first start feeding your baby food other than breast milk or formula (a stage known as weaning), youll feed whole foods pured for easy eating, which is exactly what most people think of when they think baby food.

But contrary to popular belief, pured food does not have to be plain and distasteful. Just think of what you like to eat, and youll realize a lot of it is great for your baby, too. And making these pures does not have to be difficult. I started my website to show parents that making homemade baby food is a much easier process than they might think! I was a first-time mom myself once, and if I could do it, so can you! In the beginning, I spent every one of my first childs nap times studying nutritional facts and techniques on how to introduce solid food. For me, it was never an option to leave my sons diet up to someone else and pick jars from a supermarkets shelves. Over the course of my journey, I met and talked to many parents.

None of the ones who make their own baby foods have ever regretted the time they spent in the kitchen (when they could have been resting) creating delicious, wholesome food for their children. While it can be hard finding the time, I love cooking, and I love to experiment with different types of foodexotic foods and superfoodsand I am on a mission to spice up the traditional bland baby-food experience with a more adventurous approach, while still following the guidelines for optimal nutrition. Through my time, research, and kitchen experiments, I have come up with tons of easy-to-make, kid-approved recipes, and Im thrilled to share them with you. This book is a collection of all my efforts, which, I think, will make it easier for you to discover the joy of cooking for your children. I hope you and your little one enjoy this journey just as much as my husband and I have.
