Andie the alien was very excited. In fact, he was more than very excited. He was super excited. Super-duper excited actually. Because today was the day hed been waiting for.

Andie was only ten, but on planet Avateous, where he comes from, some of the ten year old boys and girls have to go on missions, because they are extremely intelligent aliens. And Andies missions are to help save planet Earth. Just between you and me, only very, very smart aliens get this gig on Earth. And Andie is a very, very smart alien. Hes also very kind. But all the aliens on planet Avateous are very kind. They dont have one mean bone in their body. To be honest, I dont know whether they have any bones in their body at all.

So why does earth need saving you might ask?

Its not falling from the sky.

Its not combusting into a fireball - Although its getting too hot.

Its not splitting in half or disintegrating.

Its not being overtaken by a race of zombie monster dudes.

It hasnt turned into a pumpkin.

Maybe not, but Earths environment is facing several problems, and many of those problems seem to be getting worse as time goes on, bringing them closer to a true environmental disaster. The bigger the worlds population becomes, the more problems that are occurring to their environment due to increased human activity.

Even though most human beings are generally pretty good people, a lot of them are contributing to these environmental disasters because they dont stop and think about what they can do to help. But its never too late to try, and every small step contributes to a long way.

So it is becoming increasingly important to raise awareness on Earth of these issues, and what can be done to reduce the bad effect they are having on the world. This is why the aliens of Avateous are sent on missions to Earth; to help the Earthlings become more aware of what they can do to save their own planet and create a more sustainable future for themselves and future generations.

Andie had already been to Earth before on mission number one, where he met his host buddy, Ryan, and taught Ryan and his family how to save water, because a water shortage for the future is one of the very serious problems Earth is facing. By saving water, Ryans family were also able to save money. Andie had a BLAST being on Earth and couldnt wait to get back there again. Hed been frantically waiting to be called up for the second mission, and the time had finally come.

It was so much fun being on earth, especially when he got to eat takeout food at a fast food restaurant. Normally the aliens from planet Avateous only eat nutritional capsules, despite having digestive systems that can cope with small amounts of real food. But unfortunately, Andie had a lot more than a small amount, and he felt quite sick after, and then these amazingly loud sounds blasted out of his mouth and .. his rear end.

But it was worth it! The hamburger and fries tasted sooooo delicious, despite the volcanic eruptions exploding from both ends.

But he made a promise to himself that he wouldnt eat Earth food again. This time he would stick to his nutritional capsules. They were a lot easier to eat and they didnt create those ghastly explosions.

But the day had finally arrived. After weeks of being back home on planet Avateous, Andie was off to Earth again for mission number two.
