BOX RISING OFF OF PAPER
Here is a cool 3-dimensional effect that
is quite simple to draw. It really will look like a cute square is rising off of the paper.
Draw a rectangle on the upper left side of a piece of paper.
red line
Draw a light red line along the left side of the rectangle. Draw slightly slanted rectangle on right
side. Draw a dot on the page.
Draw lines from the
rectangle down to the point you drew. Draw 3 circles on left side of page.
blue lines
Draw a smaller
rectangle around the point. Draw 3 blue lines on the bigger rectangle.
blue lines
Draw blue lines around
the shapes that you drew.
Draw a gray cast shadow by drawing 2 outward slanted lines that form a triangle. Fill
it in gray. You should be able to see the lines thru the shadow. Use a lighter gray to shade the right side of the paper tower.
Shade the left
side of the holes +
rectangle
Shade
the
right
side of
the
paper
Add some very light
shading to the top of the paper tower. Add darker shading to the right side of the piece of paper, as well as the left side of the paper holes and the cut out
rectangle.
GUY FALLING OFF YOUR PAPER
This is a cool drawing trick that will amaze your friends. It will actually look like a cartoon boy is hanging off of your paper. Find out how below.
First of all, you need
to draw a cartoon boy on the right side of a piece of paper turned on its side. We will show you how to draw him below.

Turn over the page so that the boy is on the bottom of the paper. If you lift the page up on the left, you should see the boy. Draw hands on the right side of the paper. I show you how to draw hands below.
Now roll / curve the paper over and match up the hands with the arms. It will look like a 3d person is hanging off of
your paper! Cool... isnt it?!!!
CELTIC KNOT
Start off with dots and end up with a really cool Celtic knot. It couldnt be easier to draw something so cool!
Draw 9 dots (3 rows of 3 dots each).
Now draw 4 dots at the very top and bottom. Space the dots around the previous dots.
Now draw 2 more rows of 4 dots.
IMPOSSIBLE SQUARE
The impossible square on the right probably makes your brain hurt. We will show you how to draw this optical illusion below.

FOLDED PAPER LADDER
This looks so amazing when it is
completed. The ladder that you draw will look like it is floating in between the folded piece of paper. Super cool!
Fold over.
Unfold.
Fold a piece of paper.
Unfold it.
Draw a line 4 inches tall (2 inches above the fold and 2 inches below it). Draw a 1 inch line centered at the top and one at the bottom of the 4 inch line.
1 inch
4 inches
2 inches
Draw a 2 inch line on the fold (centered on the 4 inch line).
0.2 inches
Draw a line connecting
the left-most parts of
the lines that you drew.
Draw a notch or dot
0.2 inches (or 0.5 cm)
left of the center line.
Draw a line from the
right-most part of the
top line, down to the
point that you drew in
step #4. Then Continue
the line down to the
right-most part of the
bottom line.
Draw a line connecting
the right-most parts of
the lines that you drew.
Draw a line from leftmost part of the top line to the exact center. Continue the line down to the left-most part of the bottom line.
Darken some of the
lines. Draw lines across
for the ladders steps.
With gray, draw the
shadows of the steps.
Fold the paper like
this to see the 3d effect come to life! So cool!
3D RIPPLES / FOLDS
These ripples and folds look really hard to draw, but just follow along with this lesson and you will be drawing them too.
Draw a letter S. Then
continue the curved lines to form spirals within it.
Draw wavy, curvy lines
on both sides of the
letter S shape. Then
draw a dot below
everything.
Draw lines from the
outer edges of the
shapes, down to the
dot that you drew in
step #3.
Draw lines down to
the dot.
Erase parts of the
lines that you dont
need.
Add Shadows. A shading lesson is at the back of the book.
3D HEART
Find out how to draw this 3-dimensional heart.
Draw a heart.
Draw lines all around
the heart.
Draw curved lines in between the lines, as seen in the picture to the left.
Add light shadows to the right and left side of the heart. And a small shadow at the top center as well. There is a shading lesson at the back of the book.
Add darker shadows
on outer right edges of the heart to make it
look like it is above the paper.
3D STACKED BOXES
You have most likely seen this
3D design before. Now you can learn how to draw it yourself. It is super easy to draw and looks really cool when it is complete.
Color in the left
side of the boxes
with light gray.
Color in the right
side of the boxes
with dark gray.
3D LETTERS
To draw these 3-dimensional
letters, you use one point
perspective techniques. This
is super easy to draw and
comes out really cool.
Draw a dot in the center
of the page. At the top of the page draw block letters (Go to the back of the book to see how to draw block letters).
