Liquids?
Liquids are a type of matter.
Solids and gases are also matter.
Liquids flow.
A liquid does not have a shape.
Y ou can pour a liquid.
It takes the shape of its container.
What kinds of
liquids do we pour
every day?
Liquids are hard to hold.
They run out of your hands.
What about
liquids makes
them run out of
your hands?
Liquids cannot flow
through solid objects.
They flow around them.
Liquids boil when they
become very hot.
This makes the liquid evaporate.
When do we
boil liquids?
The liquid is then a gas.
Water turns to steam.
Liquids can become solids too.
They freeze when it is really cold.
Water turns to ice.
Rain turns to snow and ice.
Ice can melt back into a liquid.
Liquids are everywhere.
