Giving Back
I learned a lot of things growing up in Georgia, but perhaps the most important lessons were those I learned at summer camp. I went to the kind of camp where special-needs kids were integrated into the environment with the rest of us, and it made an impression on me right from the start. I couldnt wait until I became of the age when I could return and work as a camp counselorsomething I did for three consecutive years. The experience was invaluable. Watching the way kids from all walks of life can learn and grow together during just one week at camp is something that Ive never forgotten.
