Key to Symbols Valley fold: This is a plain solid arrowhead, and it means to form a valley with the crease. Mountain fold: The right triangle arrowhead means to fold behind, forming a ridge. Unfold: This arrowhead is an equilateral triangle. Fold and unfold: Fold in the direction of the plain solid arrowhead, and unfold in the direction of the triangular arrowhead. Rotate: These are 2 arrows in a circle, and it means to turn the model in the direction indicated by the arrows. Turn over: This is an arrow with a loop, and it means to turn the model over. Push corner inside (reverse fold): This is a solid-filled arrowhead that means you should reverse the direction of a corner by popping it inside. Repeat steps: Repeat the operation on the other flap or the opposite side. Space equally: Creases should be equal distances apart. Arrange pleats: Arrange the front and rear pleats in this way. Press: Apply pressure at this point. X-ray view or guideline: Shows a hidden flap or surface, or indicates where you should fold to an imaginary line. Enlarged view: The next step shows an enlarged view of the diagram. Pinch: Make a short crease between your thumb and forefinger.
