Introduction

The promises of the Word of God, when believed and acted upon, are effective for people of all ages. If you are a parent, you can believe and speak the promises in this minibook over your children, regardless of their ages. If you are a grandparent, you can believe and speak these promises over your grandchildren. If you are single, you can pray these promises over the children you know. Or whether you are single or married, you can pray these promises over your own life.

Second Corinthians 1:20 says, "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." I pray that the promises contained in this minibook will activate your faith to believe for God's best in your children and in the lives of others for whom you are praying. I also pray that the Word confessions contained in this minibook will serve as a pattern for activating your faith in other promises from God's Word.

The Spirit of Faith

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith.

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:4 ,5

When you are born again, you are given a measure of faith (see Romans 12:3). You are given all of God's promises. Your faith in those promises and in God Himself is the victory that overcomes the world.

What is it that tries to come against children, family members, and loved ones? It's the world, the flesh, and the devil. Victory has been given to us in Christ, and the victory that we walk out is our faith in what God has done and in the promises that He has given to us.

Second Corinthians 4:13 describes the spirit of faith: "I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore speak."

So when we talk about faith, we are talking about believing God and speaking His Word. We know faith without works is dead, so faith has action. The core of faith is God's Wordthat we hear it, believe it, speak it, and act upon it.

Scriptural Promises from Isaiah

The book of Isaiah contains several key scriptural promises to believe for your children. Here are a few of them:

"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring."

Isaiah 44:3

Isaiah is talking about the outpouring of the Spirit of God upon your children. Different words are used for "children": offspring, seed, descendants, or posterity.

Begin to declare with your mouth: The Spirit of God is being poured out on my children. God is pouring His blessing and His goodness upon my offspring.

Now, the devil wants you to talk about what is happening in the natural. He wants you to declare what you see, what people have said, or what you feel. If he can get you to agree with the circumstances, then the promises are not going to be effective in your life or in the lives of your children.

This is what happened to the children of Israel. God brought them to the edge of the promised land , told them He would give it to them, and said He would send His angel in ahead of them to drive out the inhabitants. Instead of believing what God said, they sent in twelve spies, ten of whom came back with a bad report. The ten believed the circumstances. They agreed that there were walled cities and giants in the land.

The Israelites began to murmur and complain. They were frightened. They accepted the circumstances instead of the promise and they said it with their mouth:

"If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?"

Numbers 14:2 ,3

Basically God said, "You've got it!"

"Say to them, As I live, says the Lord, just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:

"The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above.

"Except for Caleb...and Joshua... you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in.

"But your little ones, whom you said would be victims, I will bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised.

" But as for you, your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness. "

Numbers 14:28-32

You must mix faith with the Word of God. Hebrews 4:2 brings this out:

"For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it."

Hebrews 4:12 goes on and talks about the Word of God:

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Make this confession aloud: I am mixing faith with the sword of God's Word. God is pouring His Spirit out upon my descendants and His blessings upon my offspring.

Isaiah 49:25

"But thus says the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children."

God is saying, "I will remove your children out of the hand of the enemy, and I will fight against anyone who contends with you."

God told the children of Israel, "But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel" (Exodus 11:7).

Make this confession aloud: God is for me. He will contend with those who contend with me, and He will save my children.

"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children."

Isaiah 54:13

Declare it: My children are taught of the

Lord. Great peace is upon my children. Then, lay hands on yourself and decree: Peace is on this child of God.

The anointing can be released upon your own life as well as upon the lives of your children.

"In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you."

Isaiah 54:14

That's a picture for you and for your children. Begin to declare: My children and I are established in righteousness. We are far from oppression. We shall not fear. We are far from terror; it will not come near us.

"No weapon formed against you [or against your children] shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me , says the Lord."

Isaiah 54:17

A young man named Jose Miranda made the statement, "Don't let your sword get cold!" For some people, it has been a long time since they have had the sword of the Word in their mouth. It's like it has gotten cold. You need to keep the Word hot on your lips: No weapon formed against me or my family will prosper.

Make these confessions daily. Every time you think of it, stand upon the promises of God's Word. If you start to have thoughts of anxiety, confess the promises of God's Word. Replace worry and fear with God's Word. Take control of your thoughts with God's Word on your lips.

Deliverance

Proverbs 11:21 KJV says, "The seed of the righteous shall be delivered." Make it your declaration: My seed will be delivered . When someone asks, "How are your children doing?" you can respond with the promises of God's Word: They are blessed!
