This new edition has greatly increased in size to reflect the latest - photo 4

This new edition has greatly increased in size to reflect the latest information on winning money at blackjack and to show you how to beat blackjack games anywhere in the world! There are more questions and answers to help you understand the big picture and the nuances of beating the game of 21, more information on getting that extra edge, and more frank discussion on finding the right games to beat including ones that should be avoided.

Ive kept the same approach that has made this book a modern classic for winning at blackjack and best-seller for almost thirty years. After clearly explaining the rules, variations and how the game is played I get right to the heart of the matterhow to win money at blackjack. Winning strategies are presented three ways for you to learn. First, I show the underlying principles of the strategies and explain concepts such as stiff cards, pat cards and the ten factor.

Then, I present the strategies in mini-chart form and the thinking behind each move so that you learn why each play is made. I call this thinking process, conceptual blackjack. Finally, to make sure the winning strategies are crystal clear, I present the Cardoza Master Charts to cover the correct plays for all blackjack games wherever you may find them!

This book is not just about showing you how to be a winner, but also, how to understand the game and be a thinking player. I could have called this book the Thinking Persons Guide to Blackjack. If you understand why you should make the proper plays, then you have a great chance to make the proper plays when you need to. And that will count for money in your pocket in the long run.

This book emphasizes winning, and thats what were here to do nowwin at blackjack!

OBJECT OF THE GAME Your object in casino blackjack is to beat the dealer This - photo 6

OBJECT OF THE GAME

Your object in casino blackjack is to beat the dealer. This can be achieved in two ways:

  • When you have a higher total than the dealer without exceeding 21.
  • When the dealers total exceeds 21 (assuming the player has not exceeded 21 first).

In casino blackjack, if the player and the dealer both hold the same total of 21 or less, the hand is a push, nobody wins.

BUSTING OR BREAKINGAUTOMATIC LOSERS

If the drawing of additional cards to the initial two cards dealt causes the point total to exceed 21, then that hand is said to be busted, an automatic loss. Busted hands should be turned up immediately. Once you have busted, your hand is lost, even if the dealer busts as well afterwards. If the dealer busts, all remaining players automatically win their bets.
