Minor chord substitutions, b. Major 7 chord substitutions, c. Major 9 chord substitutions, d. Secondary Dominant Chord Substitutions.

R eharmonization is a music technique that uses an existing melodic line of a song and alters the harmonic progression to give the song a new color. It is like putting a new paint job on an old car.

The most basic form of reharmonization is using chord substitution and chord extensions. The new chord changes provide new musical interest and variety. They can sometimes alter the mood of the original melody. If you want to learn Reharmonization Skill, you need to take a complete course from Reharmonization Method 1 Kits on how to do reharmonization chord substitutions. You will find this method in my Reharmonization Course. To keep the book simple, I will just notate the places where I would put in the following chord substitutions.

I n this fake book, I have 10 songs. Use the following steps to play the songs. 1. Each song is written in their basic skeleton of chords: I IV V. 2.

Play the songs from the score sheet in their basic chords. 3. Try playing the songs from the chord charts without the sheet music. The chords will guide you along. Sing along as you play and you will hear the chord progressions of each song clearly. 4. 4.

Reharmonize the songs by using chord substitutions or chord extensions. 5. Play the songs with the new harmonic progressions. T here are many ways to do chord substitutions. You may wish to add more chord substitutions in the reharmonization. I am only providing one possible way for you to follow.
