About the Author

Christian Stankowic has been working as a certified IT engineer for five years. His interest in Linux and virtualization technology picked up in 2006, when he gained his first experience with openSUSE, Debian, Ubuntu, CRUX Linux, and VMware Server. Since his apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Red Hat Satellite/Spacewalk, Nagios/Icinga, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server became his key qualifications. Recent VMware technologies such as vSphere and the vCenter family are part of his daily work as a virtual infrastructure administrator. He loves to share knowledge. Besides acting as trainer in the company he is working for, he also started writing books to contribute more. He was the coauthor of the book VMware vSphere Essentials , Packt Publishing . In his free time, he works on his personal IT blog and develops web applications using recent techniques such as jQuery and PHP. About the Reviewers

Johannes Engler has more than 12 years of experience in the IT industry. Now he works as a system engineer for a medium-sized industrial gas company and is responsible for the virtualization and Linux environment. In his career, he has earned various certificates from companies such as Citrix, IBM, Red Hat, SUSE, and PMI. His interests are privacy in a big data world post-Snowden and open source technologies. He lives with his family and dog in a small town near Frankfurt, Germany.

Frank Escaros-Buechsel is currently an Ireland-based solution architect for SimpliVity, simplifying IT one OmniCube at a time through product demonstrations, webinars, and solution design. Thomas Zimmermann was born in 1974. After finishing school, he started as a physics laboratory assistant. Later, he studied computer, system, and network technology to start his IT career in 1997 as a system administrator for a leading global sports equipment company before he changed to a startup in order to build up the data center for them. Since 2001, he is working for a big global chemical enterprise and build up the whole infrastructure for their IT center in Europe. Thomas is very experienced in network, Internet security, system-management, and virtualization technology. His main focus is service automatization & orchestration. Currently, he is the leading global project managera project that won the IT Japan Award 2015 to build up a cloud across three regions based on the VMware technology. In 2014, he was a guest speaker at the VMware vForum, explaining the virtual workplace and how to archive business benefits using virtual desktops.
