A Perfect Tour of Montenegro
Day 1
Cetinje and Loven
From Podgorica airport, drive to Cetinje, Montenegros historic former capital, visit its cluster of museums, and enjoy your first lunch in Montenegro at Konak. Drive up Mt Loven, then walk up the final flight of steps to its airy summit and mausoleum. Drive to Kotor, stopping to try some local ham at Njegui.
Day 2
Kotor
Spend the day exploring Kotors Unesco-listed old town, visit the Maritime Museum and climb up to the fortress.
Day 3
Bay of Kotor
Drive anticlockwise around the Bay of Kotor, stopping at Perast to take a boat out to the tiny island of Our Lady of the Rocks. Have lunch in Perast (or later in Morinj), then continue around the Bay of Kotor, stopping to see the mosaics in Risan. Take the car ferry from Kamenari to Lepante and return to Kotor via Tivat.
