Introduction
Spanishverbs.
The rewards to be gained from learning Spanish areenormous, not just from the pleasure of being able to speak it but also fromenjoying the literature and the culture.
But in order to be able to speak Spanish well it isessential to have a good knowledge of the verbs and to master their use. Theverbs are the keystone of each and every sentence. They are the words that makethings happen and without them a sentence would be just a collection of wordswithout vitality and direction.
Accordingly for those learning Spanish, it is just asimportant to understand the verbs and to learn to use them, as it is to learnvocabulary generally. However, bearing in mind that there are 6 differentpersons for the conjugation of each tense, that there are 8 different tenses(i.e. including the imperative and the subjunctive, the latter having twoforms, so 9 conjugations) as well as the compound tenses, it may at first seemthat there is much to be mastered.
Luckily though, the work is in reality much less thanmight be imagined if it is approached in the right way and if you have theright tools and information. For example, as you will discover in this book thecompound tenses can be very easy to learn; there is much regularity in theforms of the verbs; and whilst there are certainly seeming irregularities withmany types of verbs, most of the irregular verbs in fact follow a rule or atleast a sort of pattern; and the number of truly irregular verbs without anyobvious pattern is really very small. And even these can be mastered if theclever learning techniques, which will be explained in this book, are applied.
Accordingly the scheme of this book is to present thesubject as a workbook to fast track you to success and fluency with the Spanishverb. There are in four important parts in this book as follows.
Part 1 Understanding the Spanish Verb
You will discover here all the Spanish verb forms thatyou need to know so as to be able to understand and to learn them, however andwhenever they may be encountered or required. It will be appropriate forstudent at every level from beginner to advanced, and can be used both forlearning and for simple reference purposes.
You will find full explanations of every type ofregular verb; and of every type of irregular verb; both those that may follow apattern in their irregularity, and also of all the other completely irregularverb forms.
Part 2Examples of Every Different Spanish Verb Type Fully Conjugated
One hundredand four fully conjugated model Spanish verbs.
The explanations of the Spanish verb types arefollowed by 104 model verbs in fully conjugated form, covering every type ofSpanish verb, both regular and irregular.

Also included in this part of the book is a list of the 151 Best Spanish Verbs to Study Firstso as to be able to make yourself understood and to get by reasonably in theSpanish language.
Part 4Mastering and Recalling Spanish Verbs and Tenses
PowerfulMemorizing Techniques for Memorising Spanish Verbs and The Easy Learn Lock-StepMethod for Mastering Spanish Verbs & Tenses; Memorising tips for differentSpanish verb conjugations.
It is not enough to be able to understand Spanishverbs when they are encountered. It is essential also to be able to recall andto be able to conjugate them whenever required, Accordingly special attentionhas been given to the importance of learning and memorising Spanish verbs, and there are 3 Chaptersdevoted specifically to proven memory techniques for learning and recallingverbs and their conjugations, including the Easy Learn Lock-Step Method forSpanish Verbs and Tenses, that will be found to be particularly valuable. Afinal chapter details numerous memorising tips patterns and pointers fordifferent types of Spanish verb tenses.
How To UseThis Book
You can use this book either for regular learning, oras a reference when uncertain as to a verb or its conjugation. However whenlearning the verbs initially (and for that matter, when learning the Spanishlanguage generally) keep in mind the value of regular daily study. Theimportance of this cannot be overstated. Regular work at the study of the verbs(and especially the practical use of them) at least once a day will yield muchbetter results than occasional study, for example just once a week, even if theamount of time devoted to the work is the same (e.g. by having one really longsession at the weekends).
With the aid of this book you will soon be able tocommand the Spanish verb and achieve your goal of fluency with the Spanishlanguage. Good luck with your study. If you have any comments you are welcometo email me at p.oakfield.spanish@gmail.com
