He was a spy. It was top secret! Zac had a code name. It was Agent Rock Star. Zac worked for a spy group called GIB. They sent Zac on missions. Zac also went to Spy Camp.

He learnt new skills like how to go undercover. Open wide, said the dentist. He put cotton wool in the sides of Zacs mouth. Zac didnt like the dry feeling of cotton wool. But he knew it would be over soon. Then Zac saw something on the dentists shirt.

It was a GIB badge! Zac tried to talk, but his mouth was full of cotton wool. The dentist leant down and whispered to Zac. Get ready, Agent Rock Star, he said. Youre going to Spy Camp. A trap door opened below Zacs feet. His chair tilted forward.

Zac slid off the chair and through the trap door. He landed on his feet. He was in a tunnel. There was a sign on the wall. SPY CAMP THIS WAY
>>> Zac pulled the cotton wool out of his mouth. Thats better, thought Zac.

He ran down the tunnel. Soon, Zac could see the end of the tunnel. The Spy Camp dome was outside. Zac ran to it and went inside.There were doors all around the edge. The doors led to rooms that had different training gear in them. But Zac needed his Info-Disk first.

It had his Spy Camp information on it. Zac got his Info-Disk from the front desk. He pulled out his SpyPad. Every GIB spy had a SpyPad. It was a mini-computer. Zac had cool things like games and lasers on his.

Zac put the Info-Disk into his SpyPad. A message popped up. TOP SECRET

END Zac knew Agent Wave. His real name was Cam. He loved surfing. I wonder where Camis on the Spy Ladder, thought Zac. I wonder where Camis on the Spy Ladder, thought Zac.

GIB spies got points for going on missions. They also got points for tests they did at Spy Camp. The spy with the most points went to the top of the Spy Ladder. A huge TV screen showed the latest Spy Ladder results. Zac looked up at the screen. 1.

4. AGENT LIGHT FOOT SPY LADDER Chill out, Zac, youre still on top, said a voice behind Zac. It was Cam. He grinned and gave Zac a high five.

Hey, Cam, said Zac, grinning back. Zac and Cam found the door that said Rescue on it. They scanned their SpyPads over the lock. The door opened. Zac saw two black suits hanging up inside. There was a tag on the bow tie.

Zac read the tag. Cool Suit
Heat-proof and fire-proof.
Keeps you extra-cool. Zac and Cam put on the suits. They had heat-proof helmets as well. Why do we need to stay cool? asked Cam. Because Devils Peak is a volcano, said Zac.

Sweet, said Cam. There was a vehicle on a launch pad. It looked like a helicopter, but it had wings as well. The wings had heat-proof propellers next to them. Its a Fire Flyer, said Cam. Theyre ace.

There was a roller door at the back of the room. Zac pressed a button to open the door. Then Zac and Cam hopped into the Fire Flyer. Zac started the engine and they took off. Zac steered the Fire Flyer towards Devils Peak. As they got closer, he could see that one side was rocky.

The other side had a lava river flowing down it. Zac looked out the window. Suddenly he saw a GIB symbol carved into a rock. Theres the base! said Zac, flying down. Zac landed the chopper. An agent was waiting for them.

He was wearing a red jumpsuit. Thats Agent Triple Zero, said Cam.Hes been on rescue missions all over the world. Zac and Cam jumped out of the chopper. Hello, agents, said Agent Triple Zero. Today youll learn how to rescue people. Then youll have a test.

Sounds wicked, said Cam. Agent Triple Zero handed the boys two GIB first aid backpacks. There was even a fold-out stretcher that fitted inside a match box!
