Nearly 150,000 people die every day worldwide from disease, hunger, sickness, and war. Thats roughly 55 million every year.

While the death and disease tolls keep rising, innovation and technological advancement has stalled. Why is that?

  • Why are more and more people getting sick when were the most technologically advanced society that has ever lived?
  • Why are women and children starving all around the globe when one nation could provide enough food for the entire world and have a surplus?
  • Why are children dying of waterborne illnesses and dehydration every single day when clean water can easily be accessible to everyone, no matter how remote their town or village?
  • Why are wars still being fought over resources and broken political policies when we could be working together to preserve our planet?
  • Why have we not cured cancer? Why have we not eradicated disease? Why have we not inhabited other planets? Why have we not journeyed into other galaxies? Why are we still living the same today as our ancestors were thousands of years ago?

    People are the cure.

If we destroy our world, we can also restore it and enhance it. If we can imagine, we can create. If we can create, we can do the impossible. There is no limitation to what mankind can do when we work together. We have everything we need to literally leap mankind decades into the future technologically, medically, and socially.

Innovation and our imagination is our gateway. And you hold the key.

Mom, Erin keeps touching my armrest

Bethany Aldridge gripped the steering wheel of her Dodge minivan and took a deep breath through her nose before saying, Erin, stop antagonizing your brother.

    Im not!

The car fell silent for thirty seconds before the smack of a hand on flesh rose from the back seat, followed by an exaggerated shriek of pain.

    Mom, he smacked me!

Kevin, dont smack your sister. Bethany glanced at her childrens reflections in the rearview mirror, shooting them the warning look that she had perfected in motherhood. We dont hit in this family.

    She was antagonizing me

    I was not!

You tried to touch my armrest again, and Mom told you to stop.

Bethany put on her turn signal and merged into the far right lane of the highway to get ready for the next exit. And now Im telling both of you to stop.

Kevin growled his eight-year-old frustration and swatted at his little sister in the other rear passenger seat beside him. I didnt do anything. Why do I have to stop?

Because Im driving, Kevin. Stop it right now. Bethany gave them another warning look in the rearview mirror, but of course neither of her children paid attention as they slapped at each other over the aisle between seats. Im serious. Both of you need to
