Sooner of later we all come to ponder our roots. Who were our ancesters, where did they come from and what were their lives like. This book is an endeaver to pass along some of the things I have learned about our Pearson family. Many books have been written about the Pearsons but only a few touch on our line of the family.

My research has found only four verifiable generations of Pearsons back from my generation but I am still searching. It is said that family stories of ancestry usually are based on fact but that caution must be used with them as they may be more fable than fact. One such story is that we have American Indian blood from the Great Shawnee Chief, Tecumseh. I have not been able to verify that as fact, although I have found that a male descendent of Tecumseh lived in the town where my Grandmother Pearson (Lilly Box) was born and one of her sisters claimed and received Indian Land in Oklahoma.

Another story that has come down is that our original immigrating ancester to America came from England with William Penn to Pennsylvania. Indeed, a Pearson was Penns associate and could have been our ancester. However, I have been unable to verify and bring that line down to us.

Every family is made up of two bloodlines so I am including in this book with the Pearsons the genealogies for the Watsons and Grounds from my mothers side of the family as well as the lines for my wife, Billie, the Wrights and Hendersons.
