When Sidney Crosby was just 19 years old, the Pittsburgh Penguins stitched the letterC on his jersey. He became the youngest captain in the history of the NHL at thetime. A native of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Crosby accomplished a lot more thanthat before he turned 20. He scored 120 points (36 goals, 84 assists) in 200607.The total made him the first teenager to lead the league in scoring and the youngestscoring champion in any North American sport.
Crosby continued to get better from there. Sid the Kid led the Penguins to a StanleyCup championship in 2009. The next season he led the NHL in goals.
