Acknowledgments
First, my wife, Nicky Storr, who supported and encouraged me through the three years it took to research, write, and edit this project. She also put up with my telling countless ghost stories in any and every social setting we happened to find ourselves in.
My mother, Cathy Storr; sister Sara; and aunt Susan Holdener, for bringing me material and helping me vet potential witnesses to weed out the crazies. And there were crazies. Oh were there crazies.
Mike Kozek, for his stellar pictures and the hours of great conversation.
Joey Smith, for reading my many drafts and offering her insight on how to make them better. Also for listening to hours of my rambling on the subject of Revelstokes paranormal history during our drives around Victoria.
Tom Redhead, for the science and introducing me to Miles Davis. Without Sketches of Spain this damned thing wouldnt have gotten finished.
Bob McIntosh, for editing the completed draft manuscripts and helping make me look less grammatically challenged than I truly am.
Mike Cyronek, for his help in bringing me people and their stories. Also for that late-night trespassing session in 2012, which helped give me the idea to write this book in the first place. Most importantly, for not getting all weird when I started dropping words like Shadow People and ultraterrestrials in conversation.
Susan Kincaid, for being so helpful in gathering material and making connections it actually defies description. Seriously I doubt this book would have been written without her.
Dan Eastabrook, for listening and asking the hard questions.
Sami Lingren, for the photographs and all the legwork, the latter of which I know can be a real pain in the ass.
My employers Doug Williams and Melissa Hadley, who allowed me the time off to go roaming hither and yon asking strange questions, and who have never once commented on the growing library of paranormal books in my office.
And to the following people, for providing support and background information:
Gloria Abbott, Max Amsler, Olympe and Joan Astra, Stephanie Ballandine, Frank Bradford, Beckie Campbell, Spence Carefoot, Squeak Carlson, Ray Cretelli, Professor James Dickson, Cathy English, Michelle Flynn, Annette Fuoco, Gordie Gattafoni, Bert Van Goor, Bruce Haggerstone, Annie Hewitt, Evelyn Howery, Frieda Howery, Aaron Irmen, Debbie Jackson, Barb Johnson, Kevin Keates, Shelley Klassen, Candace and Carol Komishin, Andrew Mack, Diane Mahoney, Joe Martini, Diane Mayberry, Mark McKay, John Morrison, Roger Morrison, Clare Mount, Larry Nelles, Shawn Newsome, Larry Pawlitsky, Tracy Schiller, Carol Thompson, Dan Threatful, Justine Winser, Stella Weeks, Alan Young.
Apologies in advance to anyone I missed.

Foreword
In my work as a paranormal podcaster, my main stock in trade is that of the ghost story. Over the last six years on my Campfire podcast, I have talked to hundreds of experiencers about their strange stories of the supernatural. I take the broad view and speak with people from around the globe; however, sometimes it is even more intriguing to look specifically at one community, one town, to examine its soul and its stories.
This is exactly what Brennan Storr has done in A Strange Little Place: The Hauntings and Unexplained Events of One Small Town. Brennan takes us to the picturesque community of Revelstoke. With a current population of about 7,200 people, you might think there wouldnt be a lot to tell, but youd most definitely be wrong.
