Book dedications are often made to individuals or organizations that have lended the most assistance in the works development. For each author, the word dedication takes on its own personal meaning. As an author, Dwayne feels that the strongest inspiration comes from those closest to you. It is for that reason that he would like to dedicate this book to his son Jesse. Jesse is a wonderful twelve-year-old child who sees the world every day with excitement and anticipation. He knows no limitations, taking joy in the smallest of things and finding the amazement in each. Dwayne feels that writing this book and others similar to it has allowed him to catch just a small glimpse of what Jesses world is like.

People often feel that history is found in books, but Cassidy disagrees.

Her stepmother, Wendy OConnor, allowed her to see history close up even as a small child. Cassidy has memories of crawling through historic grain elevators along the Buffalo waterfront as a child as her stepmother fought for their preservation. It is then that Cassidy learned to appreciate the importance of the preservation of our heritage. Cassidy thanks Wendy OConnor for the passion she now holds for preserving even the smallest bit of history and for all the wonderful knowledge and love that she was able to share regarding the history of Buffalo for this book.

FOREWORD

Dwayne Claud is a prolific writer and author of several books, and, without a doubt, this work ranks with the best. Cassidy OConnors talent for digging up historical background has added a unique flair to this book, merging the ghostly tales of the region with historical accuracy, in some cases proving, while in others disproving, some reported paranormal phenomenon. Haunted Buffalo presents one with the feeling of experiencing the paranormal activity along with the authors, leaving little doubt in the mind of the reader that Buffalo is definitely haunted.

From the history of Buffalo to a crash course in ghost hunting and everything in between, Haunted Buffalo presents a completely unique perspective, one that will keep the reader interested from beginning to end. Even if you have never had an interest in the paranormal, you can consider this an excellent general field guide to haunted places in Buffalo.

What impressed me most about Haunted Buffalo is that, in each chapter, Dwayne and Cassidy enlighten the reader as to what you can expect at each location. I am certain that once you finish reading, you will be anxious to seek out the haunts and experience them for yourselves.

Thank you, Dwayne and Cassidy, for presenting Haunted Buffalo in the manner in which you chose to do and, speaking the vernacular of the paranormal, may the spirits of Buffalo be with you and all the readers of this fine work.
