15 Parable of Enoch on the Future Lot of the Wicked and the Righteous

1. The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect Picture 1andPicture 2 righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked Picture 3and godlessPicture 4 are to be removed. 2. And he took up his parable and said Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, Picture 5whichPicture 6 the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come. 3. Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them:

The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling,

4. And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai,

[And appear from His camp]

And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven Picture 7of heavensPicture 8.

5. And all shall be smitten with fear,

And the Watchers shall quake,

And great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth.

6. And the high mountains shall be shaken.

And the high hills shall be made low,

And shall melt like wax before the flame

7. And the earth shall be Picture 9whollyPicture 10 rent in sunder,

And all that is upon the earth shall perish,

And there shall be a judgement upon all (men).

8. But with the righteous He will make peace,

And will protect the elect,

And mercy shall be upon them.

And they shall all belong to God,

And they shall be prospered,

And they shall Picture 11allPicture 12 be blessed.

Picture 13And He will help them allPicture 14,

And light shall appear unto them,

Picture 15And He will make peace with themPicture 16.

9. And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of Picture 17HisPicture 18 holy ones

To execute judgement upon all,

And to destroy Picture 19allPicture 20 the ungodly:

And to convict all flesh

Of all the works Picture 21of their ungodlinessPicture 22 which they have ungodly committed,

Picture 23And of all the hard things whichPicture 24 ungodly sinners Picture 25have spokenPicture 26 against Him.

1. Observe ye every thing that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, Picture 27andPicture 28 the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. 2. Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, Picture 29how steadfast they arePicture 30, how Picture 31none of the things upon earthPicture 32 change, Picture 33butPicture 34 all the works of God appear Picture 35to youPicture 36. 3. Behold the summer and the winter, Picture 37how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon itPicture 38.

Observe and see how (in the winter) all the trees Picture 39seem as though they had withered and shed all their leaves, except fourteen trees, which do not lose their foliage but retain the old foliage from two to three years till the new comes.

And again, observe ye the days of summer how the sun is above the earth over against it. And you seek shade and shelter by reason of the heat of the sun, and the earth also burns with glowing heat, and so you cannot tread on the earth, or on a rock by reason of its heat.

1. Observe Picture 40yePicture 41 how the trees cover themselves with green leaves and bear fruit: wherefore give ye heed Picture 42and knowPicture 43 with regard to all Picture 44His worksPicture 45, and recognize how He that liveth for ever hath made them so.

2. And Picture 46allPicture 47 His works go on Picture 48thusPicture 49 from year to year Picture 50for everPicture 51, and all the tasks Picture 52whichPicture 53 they accomplish for Him, and Picture 54their tasksPicture 55
