My passion is to lead a healthy, happy life and to provide the best information I can to help others do the same. I am always searching for and researching new and ancient traditions that can recharge health, happiness, and everyday life. Adding more good habits into our lives will also help release any bad habits and, in turn, will allow us to balance body, mind, and spirit.
Ive known the benefits of plants and herbs for a long time. Ive used them for many decades to keep my family, friends, clients, and myself healthy. Ive written books about plant food, spoken internationally, and been on national television praising the importance of plant food. I feel consuming plants slowed down my aging process, rid me of high blood pressure and cholesterol, and has kept me prescription-free and energetic at the age of eighty.
In my book H2Oh! I taught readers how to make some of my favorite fresh filtered water infusions, but Im not finished trying to keep you hydrated. This book will expand on what you learned in H2Oh! and guide you into some surprisingly positive healing methods.
The recipes in Tea-Vitalize are easy and fun to make, and are all superdelicious. Best of all, they have medicinal properties to boost your immunity and help you stay healthy in many ways.
Tea-Vitalize will enlighten you in such a simple way that you will be surprised you didnt know about the benefits of tea before, and if you did know, this book will renew your passion and inspire you to stay on a path of ultimate health and self-love.
To help you understand more of what Tea-Vitalize is about, imagine taking a hot shower or soaking in a warm bath on a cold day. It feels soothing, right? If its a hot day, imagine bathing in a cool lake or swimming under a waterfall. Your body immediately cools down from the heat when surrounded by cool water. If you can imagine your body feeling so good on the outside, Im going to show you how to experience the same feelings on the insideand all it takes is the proper kind of hydration. Tea-Vitalize offers simple recipes and formulas that will enable you to drink refreshing, luscious, healthy cold liquids on hot days and soothing warm liquids on cold days. In no time at all, you will be creating your own tasty drinks and feeling like a million bucks.
Health is wealth, and hydration is life-giving. In Tea-Vitalize, you will learn the benefits of hydration, how to properly hydrate, and how to make endless mouthwatering drinks to help prevent illness, balance weight, support your immune system, and take your health to a whole new level.
Although a fundamental component to good health is staying hydrated, many people forget to drink water and instead reach for sugary drinks and coffee when they get thirsty or need a boost. By the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated, and sugary drinks only add to the dehydration. Research says we cannot survive very long without water: harm is done in a matter of days, when our bodys organs start to shut down.
Most of us have heard we should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day. But the Health and Medicine Division of the National Academy of Medicine says we should be drinking more than that: men should be drinking on average thirteen glasses a day (104 ounces); and women, nine glasses (72 ounces). Activity level, weather, and age could also help determine our optimal water intake. Its not exactly the same for everyone. Some studies say we should be drinking about half our body weight in ounces of filtered water daily. For example, a person who weighs 140 pounds should drink 70 ounces of water (or other hydrating, non-sugary fluids) daily. Thats 2 quarts plus 3/4 cup. If you take medication or have specific health issues, such as kidney or heart failure, check with your health-care professional, as you may require less water. Always check with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, whenever adding new foods or drinks to your diet.
To help encourage you to drink enough liquids daily, here are some ways dehydration can affect us: it makes weight loss more difficult and causes mental confusion, slow memory, fatigue, lack of attention and focus, accumulations of toxins, digestive issues, urinary infections, inflammation, and much more.
Proper hydration removes toxins, lubricates our body, reduces electric and magnetic field (EMF) exposure, and increases electrolytes. It helps with absorption of nutrients, removes waste, regulates blood pressure and body temperature, and slows down biological aging.
Drinking water and staying hydrated is important to our health, but what if I told you that you could infuse your water with something that would improve your health far beyond hydration? And what if I told you this something was tea and herbal infusions?
I know you may be picturing sitting down to a cup of hot tea, as thats what many people visualize when they think of tea, but stay with me here. This is not your grandmothers cup-and-saucer kind of tea (not that there is anything is wrong with that). Tea-Vitalize will introduce you to a cool, modern way to consume tea without boiling water.
Tea replaces lost fluid in the body, and contains potent antioxidants as well. Both water and tea are good for us and this book is all about helping you drink more tasty fluids to stay hydrated and healthy.
Claims that tea can improve your health come from ancient religious and spiritual texts all the way to modern medical journals. While we wait for more scientific results, there is no harm in drinking teas and herbal infusions. In fact, drinking at least 32 ounces of tea or herbal infusion daily may be better than drinking the same amount of water because of the added nutrients teas and herbal infusions provide. Herbal infusions contain antioxidants, which are important to maintaining good health. Teas and herbs speak to our body in a completely natural way and they are soothing to our mind as well.
