Dedication This book is dedicated to my very first best friend, my twin sister, Amy. My whole life youve been there with me: laughing, learning and being crafty. I think we make a perfect match! Acknowledgments A big thank you to my editor, Robin Hampton, my patient photographer, Tim Grondin, and my talented designers, Cheryl Mathauer and Corrie Schaffeld. Also, a huge thank you to Jessica Gordon for giving me the opportunity to go on this adventure. Of course, thanks go to my husband, Michael, who always forgives me for the miscellaneous wire clippings, headpins and stray beads found in the bed.
About the author Sara Schwittek is one of the creators of Shy Siren, a line of stunning jewelry handcrafted with semiprecious gemstones, pearls, crystals and glass beads. Sara started as an architectural designer in New York City. She left architecture to launch Four Eyes, a Web design studio, with her husband, Michael. Saras diverse background in all-things-design gives her a unique lens through which to view the world of jewelry. Sara creates each piece with an eye toward both aesthetics and functionality, taking pleasure in the play of light and colors of the materials she works with. She also enjoys photography, yoga and, more recently, learning how to sew.
