Pretty Kitty Cuffs
You will need 1 skein of yarn in the color of your choice and a size G crochet hook
You will also need a yarn needle and scissors.
For the hat:
Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Single crochet in the center of this ring 8 times, and join with another slip stitch. Chain 1, turn, and single crochet across the row. Join with a slip stitch.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch. Continue this around the row, and join with a slip stitch.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then skip the next stitch. Single crochet in the next stitch, then skip the next stitch. Repeat this around, then join with a slip stitch at the end.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch. Continue this around the row, and join with a slip stitch.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then skip the next stitch. Single crochet in the next stitch, then skip the next stitch. Repeat this around, then join with a slip stitch at the end.
You are going to measure as you go with this, working until the top of the hat reaches across the top of your head. Usually you are going to increase for about 12 rows. Next, you are going to fit the hat to your head.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then skip the next 2 stitches. Single crochet in the next stitch, then skip the next 2 stitches. Repeat this around, then join with a slip stitch at the end.
Chain 1, turn, and single crochet in the first stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch, then double crochet in the next stitch 2 times. Single crochet in the next stitch. Continue this around the row, and join with a slip stitch.
Repeat until the hat fits your head, then finish with a border around the base.
For each of the ears you are going to chain 10 and skip the first stitch, single crocheting across the row and skipping the last stitch. Single crochet across the row. Chain 1, skip the first stitch, and single crochet across the row, skipping the last stitch. Repeat until you have a triangle. Repeat for the other ear.
