It comprises of the simplest types of recipes for making spa-quality liquid soaps.
You do not have to handle lye so you are free from the potential hazards. Basically, all you need is a starting soap (preferably liquid), glycerin and adequate water. You can either start from a liquid soap or any bar soap that you have in your house. If you want to use bar soap, you must grate it finely and melt it in hot water on your stove. You can start your recipes with any leftover liquid or bar soap. For instance; antibacterial soap can be used for making liquid hand soap, moisturizing soap can be used for liquid body wash and so on.
Liquid castile soap is indicated in many of the recipes because it is friendly to your skin. This is important to people with sensitive skin. It is made with vegetable-based ingredients and the manufacturing process is non-toxic. The lather it produces is clean and it works well with hard or soft water, reducing the amount of water you need for washing. Castile is usually available in the concentrated form that will enable you to save even more money. Glycerin is needed so that you can have liquid soap that will moisturize and condition your skin.
It acts as a softener that enhances the texture of the soap. Its ability to draw water from the atmosphere also helps in the retention of moisture.
Customizing Your Soap
There is a variety of extra ingredients that can be used to customize your soap. Some of these have been done for you in the provided recipes. However, this does not stop you from creating your own customizations. - A few essential oil drops - A little lotion or honey for extra moisture. - Natural food coloring. - Natural food coloring.
This helps to create the desired color. Do not use coloring that are chemical-based because they are not good for your skin.
Creating Your Own Blends
Scent is the most compelling element in natural soaps. Its is essential to develop an aesthetic sense of smell. You can create your own blends for your soaps with unique scents. Usually, people start with blending essential oils.
There are some basic components that can be used in order to build complex blends. You can choose and use a combination of fragrance or essential oils. What you are required to do is to combine two to three types of essential oils at a time. By dipping the tip of clear cotton swab, one at a time, you can swab into the essential oil. Place the swab in a jar. Repeat the same process for each scent that you want to add in the mix.
Always make sure that you are writing down the oil name that you are including in the blend. After some time, come back and sniff the air around the jar gently, this scent will be of the resultant blend and it is in the early stage of development. After that, put the lid over the jar and allow it to cool in a dark place. After few hours, open the jar and sniff the blend one more time. The scent will be much matured.

Natural Coconut Milk Shampoo
Preparation time: 2 minutes Cooking time: 0 minutes Ready in: 5 minutes Servings: one shampoo bottle Ingredient:
- cup of coconut milk
- 15-20 drops of essential oil (you can combine two or three types)
- 1/3 cup of liquid castile soap
- teaspoon of olive or almond oil
- teaspoon vitamin E oil or several capsules
Directions:
- Put all the ingredients in a shampoo bottle and shake them well.
- Shake well before use.
RECIPES FOR HOMEMADE CONDITIONING SHAMPOO
Natural Coconut Milk Shampoo

- cup of distilled water
- teaspoon of jojoba or grape seed oil
- One shampoo or foaming bottle
Directions: - Put all the ingredients in a bottle and mix them together by shaking for a while.
- Store it in this shampoo bottle and shake well before you use.
- Use one teaspoon of shampoo for taking washing your hair.
- For using a foam dispenser, dilute the mixture by adding cup of distilled water.
Wonder Desert Shampoo For Dry Hair
Preparation time: 2 minutes Cooking time: 0 minutes Ready in: 5 minutes Servings: one shampoo bottle Ingredients: - cup of liquid castile soap
- cup of organic aloe Vera gel
- 1 teaspoon of pure vegetable glycerin
- teaspoon of avocado oil or other vegetable oil
Directions: - Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and stir them well.
- Transfer the content into shampoo bottle and shake it well before use.
- Apply to hair and keep it untouched for few minutes.
- Rinse it off with cool water.
Sunshine Shampoo
Preparation time: 2 minutes Cooking time: 0 minutes Ready in: 5 minutes Servings: one shampoo bottle Ingredients: - cup of liquid castile soap
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
Directions: - Take all the ingredients in a bowl. Heat and stir the mixture on medium heat for one to two minutes.
- Cool the mixture and remove the lemon zest from it by filtering.
- Transfer the mixture into shampoo bottle and store it in a cool place.
