About the Author

A third-generation native of Alta California, Joy Hepp found herself completely at home exploring the mountains and shores of its Mexican counterparts: Baja California and Baja Sur. Joy first moved to Mexico in 2007 to work for the English language newspaper Guadalajara Reporter, and currently resides in Mexico City. So far she has traveled to 14 Mexican statesquite an accomplishment according to most Mexico City taxi drivers. In addition to contributing to the Frommers Mexico guide, Joy blogs about her experiences traveling throughout Mexico on her website www.chilangabacha.com.

This book is dedicated to the memory of Charles Marlene. Grandpa Chuck loved Mexico more than anyone I know and even had a Viva Mexico tattoo to prove it. He would have gotten a kick out of my travel stories.
