To understand the temples of the Latter-day Saints, its important to understand that these structures are not where Latter-day Saints meet for weekly Sunday worship meetingsin fact, temples are closed on Sundays. Mormons hold public Sabbath meetings in fairly simple, utilitarian buildings called meetinghouses, or chapels, which The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints builds by the thousands all over the world.
