Practice Makes Perfect: Beginning Spanish is comprised of sixteen lessons, all structured in the same way. Each chapter opens with a list of the grammar points to be presented and practiced followed by Communication goals, which present the chapters objectives for desired learner achievement. Introductory dilogos present new vocabulary and grammatical structures targeted in the chapter. Each dilogo contains two to four exchanges.

There are between four and nineteen dilogos in each chapter. Learners have instant access to both the written text of each dilogo and a recording of it done by native speakers with pauses for repetition. The dilogos offer delightful snatches of conversation in authentic settings. You meet real-life people at work and school, traveling, talking about their family and relationships, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, their daily routine, health, holidays, business and the cost of living, and their life goals. These meaningful conversational exchanges help you develop both competence and confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish.
