ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Keith Drew has travelled in nearly sixty countries but has yet to visit another cityquite as bewitching as Fez, or drive on mountain roads quite as hairy as theHigh Atlass. Publisher at Rough Guides, he is also co-author of the Rough Guide to Costa Rica and, slightly closer tohome, the Rough Guide to Bath, Bristol &Somerset.

Chris Griffiths immediately fell in love with the diversity of Moroccos landscapes,cultures and architecture, and has now settled there permanently. Based inthe Middle Atlas region, Chris is frequently on the road and most enjoysspending time in laid-back oasis villages. As a graduate of journalism and akeen backpacker, he is passionate about travel-based media.

Thomas Hollowell has been living in Morocco since 2002. Hes currently based in the MiddleAtlas Mountains and helps to run a Morocco tour company called JourneyBeyond Travel. He has written both travel and sport-related books.

Darren Humphrys is a writer, photographer and tour guide who left his native Australia in1997 for an African safari and stayed. Now residing in his adoptedhomeland of South Africa and a self-confessed Africa-phile, he has beenleading tours to Morocco since 2001 with his company Compass Odyssey ( compassodyssey.net ). Darrenhas contributed text and images of his favorite North African country tovarious guidebooks, travel publications and image libraries.

Daniel Jacobs has worked on Rough Guides to West Africa, Tunisia, Egypt,Israel/Palestine, Kenya, India, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia.

Martin Zatko has been more or less constantly on the move since early 2002, during thattime writing or co-updating the Rough Guides to Korea, China, Japan,Vietnam, Myanmar, Turkey and Europe. Hes a big fan of Moroccos far south,and its various fascinatingly desolate landscapes.
