Chain 48" in the variegated chenille yarn for a purse strap. Whipstitch each end of the strap to the outside of the bag.

Attach ornamental button in the middle of the bag.

Chain 4" to form a button loop. Attach to the inside of the flap above the button. Weave in all ends.

Weave two 4" x 4" weavies.

Stack the weavies together so that the loops match and single crochet through both layers around three sides. Turn bag inside out.

Double crochet around the top edge.

Cut about 24" of the yellow yarn and fold it in half. Weave the doubled length of yarn through the row of double crochet, going over or under every two crochet stitches. Knot the ends of the yellow yarn to use as pull strings.

Chain 16" of red yarn for a handle. Sew the ends together, then attach the loop to the inside of the bag near one seam. Weave in all ends.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the even weave produced by your pin loom makes a perfect ground for all types of decoration. Consider adding beads, fringe, stitching, or other embellishment to your small bag.

W e end up carrying all sorts of electronic equipment these days and some of them, like flash drives, are getting smaller and more difficult to keep track of. This flash drive holder is intended as a pretty and inexpensive way to tuck away anything that is small and precious to you. Because its not very big, this is a great project for utilizing small amounts of special yarn.

Once you get started with a small item like a flash drive holder, you may find yourself weaving all sorts of cell phone and tablet holders. For more ideas, take a look at the tablet case on ) is another iteration of this same design, using much the same approach for joining the pieces.

I have been using the regular size flash drive holder for several years. I keep it tucked in the zipped pocket of my purse and have never found a need for a fastener, such as ties or Velcro, to keep it closed. Since its pockets face inward, nothing can slip out.

TIP: This project uses a lot of 2" x 4" weavies. If you cant find or dont want to buy or make a loom in this size, remember that you can get the same thing with a 2" x 2" loom. Just make two 2" x 2" weavies for every 2" x 4" weavie the directions call for.
