This book is dedicated to our parents

We know war destroys civilization and uproots the existence of mankind. A time was there when the whole planet was under the appalling shadow of atom bomb, but now it has become the ornaments of nation. Is it an adaptation? Well, we cannot come to the final conclusion. However, all that we can infer is that no dark phase lasts forever. The COVID-19 pandemic is undoubtedly an eclipse for all the nations of the world. With a death of around 573K people in a planet of 7 billion population, it is another war the nations are facing. It is no exaggeration to say that in this war, we still do not have any defense system that can destroy this micro species that took the lives of people worldwide. We are yet in an early stage regarding its origin, symptoms, and defense mechanisms. Surprisingly, the symptoms of the disease are exhibiting significant dynamicity. In this critical juncture, this book is an attempt to open the Pandoras box and reveals the virus in terms of its origin, nature, transmission, and effects. The lockdown phase, an attempt to break the transmission chain, however, showed some positive signs in terms of air and water quality, which have been depicted in this book with ground zero data. The book would not have arrived at the final stage without the constant support and assistance of our near and dear ones both in personal and in professional front. Our family stood as a pillar of support during these difficult times helping us to write the manuscript. We hope that the book written in a very lucid language would be able to draw attention of the readers of all ranks of the society.
