One of the most enjoyable experiences as a guitarplayer is owning a guitar that you built or designed yourself. I am oftenadvising my clients on which parts to upgrade on their guitars, as well ashelping them find the parts needed to build a complete kit. For some, this mayseem daunting, but it's not as long as you have all the information you need inone place. Thats why Ive written this guide book. I have outlined astraightforward method to assemble bolt-on neck guitar kits successfully. Thereare elements taken from my popular book "How to Setup Your Guitar like aPro" to point you in the right direction when doing the final steps ofassembly.

Just like my other books, I've included allthe necessary info needed throughout the process without any unnecessary, contradictory, or confusing information clouding the way. Some of these topicshave been taken from my repair blog at www.learn-guitarsetups.com. Ihope you can stop by and check out all the other articles and info I have madeavailable!

I wish you all the best in assembling yourDIY guitar kit. If you have purchased this book at an online retailer, pleasetake a moment and submit a review - your opinion is valuable and muchappreciated!

Cheers,

Jonny Blackwood

This guide is formatted into an easy step-by-stepmanual to guide you in building bolt-on style guitars. The initial proceduresfocus on installing the neck correctly so that hardware can be properlyinstalled and aligned to the neck. Being that there are many variations onguitar kits out there, you may find that some steps or the specific order ofassembly dont apply to you. It is perfectly fine to jump ahead throughout thebook accordingly to take advantage of the directions as needed. For example, itmay be more efficient for you to solder your electronics first. Simply jump aheadto the wiring section and come back to neck installation when youre ready.
