Introduction

Where you create.

We are all born with an innate desire to creatively express the essence of who we are. This desire is embedded into our soul, a gift at birth, our own Northern Star in a galaxy full of the unknown. Its the one true thing we know that well always have, regardless of the circumstances that surround us.

For most of us, that core desire has been nearly lost many times. Its been laughed at, degraded, humbled, and, for some, its been simply pushed aside and forgotten. But dont worry, its still there. More than that, it wants to be acknowledged. It wants to be heard, seen, and shared. It wants to be expressed.

You might think it was abandoned forever, hidden under a veil, but in truth it will surface whether you call it out or not. If unattended, it will seep out in the form of misplaced ambition, anger, depression, or resentment, or it may just present itself in a cloud of mild melancholy.

But its still there.

Its the thing we are all born with. Its the reason you are here. It might be one thing or many things. It may come to you with force or barely show itself under the mist. But its there and it wants your attention.

You may call it your work. You may call it your purpose. Maybe its your calling. Whatever the name, it doesnt matter. You know what Im talking about. Its who you are and why you are here.

This book is an offering that you might acknowledge the importance of your work, call it into being, and create a sacred nest in which it can be held and grow.

Your Creative Work Space

Its funny, because when I was approached to write a book on home office decor, I was super pumped because I love combining the theme of work with decor.
